The process does not exist clearly after receiving shutdown requests either per calling of "Stopservice” web-method, or by receiving the TERM signal. Following the shutdown request sapstartsry process does not respond to the subsequent web-method calls and write no Togs ‘SAP installation and SAP upgrade script sapinst may hang and fail as a side effect of this problem, because running sapstartsry process do not release files. The problem has been reported on Linux as well as windows platforms. ‘Solution Workaround: If it is applicable, kill the sapstartsry process using "ki1] -9" command or an equivalent for your conrespandent platfonn, Fix: Upgrade the sapstartsry from the package saphostagent.sar to the CCMS Patch Collection 2009/3 or jater.
