STARTING YOUR STUDIES AT KAJAANI UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

You have a study place at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, in the Bachelors
Degree in Sports and Leisure Management. The official duration of studies is 3,5
years (29.8.2017 31.12.2020) and the extent of the degree, Bachelor of Sports
studies, is 210 credits. The group code is ASL17S.

The 2017 2018 academic year starts on Tuesday, 29 August, 2017 at 10 a.m. in
Taito 2 building, at Ketunpolku 4, 87100 Kajaani. Meet our tutoring students by the
main entrance (door A). All new students have to be present on the first day of
study.

The lessons in the autumn semester finish on 22.12.2017. During the spring
semester, there are lessons between 11.1. and 31.5.2018. The following weeks are
weeks of independent study (ie. there is no teaching) or holidays included in the
academic year: 16. 22.10.2017, 21.12.2017. 10.1.2018, 5.3. 11.3.2018 and1.6.
17.6.2018.

Please confirm us your attendance or non-attendance by returning the enclosed

confirmation form and enrolment form by 19 May, 2017. Students may declare
themselves absent from studies for a total of two years during the course of their
entire study period. Absence arranged in the correct manner does not affect the total
time allowed for completing the study programme.

Please bring the original certificates with you on the first day of study. The original
school certificates will be compared with the copies that you have submitted, during
the first two weeks of study by the 10th September, 2017. The student selection is
not final until the certificates have been checked and copies compared to original
certificates. If there are discrepancies between the original certificates and the
copies submitted the UAS has the right to cancel the study place of the selected
student if the correct information on the original certificate does not consequently
entitle the student to a study place at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.
