Twitter is one of the most popular and influential social media in the world. The process

of creating an account on Twitter was quite easy, and the steps were simple to follow.

Additionally, there are many resources online that assisted me during the process. However, it

was my role to create and share content. Essentially, the materials I created and shared revolved

trending topics from around the world. Additionally, a significant number of the sources I

consumed entailed following the profiles on authentic sources and individual whose tweets

would show up on my profile. The tweets were relevant as it outlined issues that have an effect

all over the world, and they were often part of the worldwide trending topics.

The tweets were from a wide range of topics covering different issues affecting the

society or have occurred. One of the tweets was about the death of Mohammed Ali. He is a

world-renowned boxer who has many accolades under his belt. He is polar, and his death caught

the world by surprise. The boxer was well known for his support of human progression and also

his skills in boxing. Mohammed Ali converted to Islam during his heydays in boxing, and he

remained as a popular personality over the years after retirement. His death was a major story,

and it was shared on Twitter by many users. His death was a major news story, and it was

imperative to share the information with my followers.

The Ramadan is also a significant Muslim holiday. Many of my followers are Muslim,

and the hashtag was an act of solidarity and also wishing them well during the holy period of

Ramadan. Moreover, it outlined my opinion about the period such as whether it will be possible

to fast for the entire day. Islam is a region prescribed by many followers around the world and

the tweet details the importance of fasting during the Ramadan.

The tweet to @marissameringuewe is a direct response to another individual. Essentially,

is an opinion about @marissameringuewe in regards to her response about a particular issue.

Marrisa made an unapologetic assumption after reading an article only partially. Her response

was unwarranted as she categorized individual and made an assumption before gaining

conclusive information on what the article meant. Essentiality, this response is based on a means

to resolve an injustice. Twitter provides an easy method to communicate with an individual

whom I cannot access such as a popular personality. My response would be seen by millions of

other Twitter users, and it can lead to change. Twitter is also an effective medium for

discussions. This was the case with the tweet I shared with @msquinn, @levydr, and

@alicetruong. It is a discussion that details how some individual use the media is a wrong

manner to advance their views.

The hashtag on kickboxing is in promotion and support of a kickboxing company. It

provides information on the sport, in this case, the health gains from kickboxing. An individual

will lose about 750 calories per hour once they engage in sports. The hashtag is in support of

redlinefightsports, and it links to the sporting company that I was engaged with. This is the same

case with the Freddie Gray hashtag that outlines my views on the matter. Freddie Grays death

was caused by physical assault he underwent under police custody, and this led to calls for

justice. The police were responsible for his death, and it became an issue of contention.

Some of the tweets also expressed by own views and feelings about the Orland bombing

in Florida. The shooter killed about 49 people. The event led to the loss of life and disaster that

also made me compare the situation to an invasion of Kuwait. I also use Twitter to express my

condolences to the families who lost loved ones.

I also used Twitter as a means to directly reach certain personalities and encourage them

towards a particular end. For instance, the tweet directed at @KingJames was during the Final

National Basketball Association (NBA) game. KingJames is LeBron James Twitter handle, and

I used the medium to reach out to him and encouraged him to win for his team, the Cleveland

Cavaliers. He is a major player in the team, and many fans expected that they would win.

LeBrons efforts would be an essential variable that would ensure the victory of the team. The

tweet is a means to show LeBron that even though I am one of his millions of fans, I hoped that

his participation would lead to victory for the team. I also sued Twitter to wish America a happy

birthday. This was during the national independence day that occurs yearly on July 4.

Some of my tweets also entail other devastating events that occurred during the month.

These were issues that affected me, as was the case with the terrorist attack in Istanbul, Turkey.

The bombing was a major disaster, and it brought fear, anger and destruction. The tweet brought

into the light the devastating effect of terrorists, especially when it is difficult to have an

extended period of peace and prosperity. The attack on Istanbul was one among many.

Moreover, I outlined my belief about how the terrorists want to destroy the society. In this case,

they discourage tourism in Turkey.

The tweet on mediation details by belief about the practice. It has many mental benefits,

and it reveals the importance of leading healthy lives based on an improved mental health. This

was the same case with the hangtag sweetgreen. Primarily, it supports the need to change diets

and live better lives.

I follow a wide variety of people. Twitter has the advantage of allowing me to follow any

number of people I want, as long as they have an account on the site. Fortunately, every

individual who is newsworthy or reliable is on the site. Essentially, these personalities were a

major influence on the information I shared with the world. Some individual I followed such as

@KingJames are influential. In this case, I was able to interact directly with them, and this

improved the relevance of the information shared. I also follow news sites such as CNN and

BBC news. These Twitter accounts are vital in providing updates on current events.

Twitter is a medium that has the power and potential to change the lives of many people.

Essentially, it is an effective platform to share news stories, entertainment, opinions, and any

written content. I have used Twitter as an essential method to exchange information and even get

in touch with prominent personalities such as LeBron James. I believe in the power of the

platform. I regularly post content and even react to issues around me and those that affect me. It

also encourages interaction and communication. I consider Twitter as a valuable tool in my life.
