Building Integrated Photo Voltaic Systems ( BIPV)
What is BIPV ?
BIPV or Building Integrated Photo Voltaic, as the
name suggests deals with integrating the Solar Photo
Voltaic panels into building design. The can be used
to replace proposed glazing areas without affecting
the contemporary aesthetics of steel & glass or fixed
on South faade as building cladding.
BIPV benefits:
The building itself becomes the PV support structure
BIPV components displace conventional building materials and labour, reducing
the net installed cost of the PV system
On-site generation of electricity offsets imported and often more carbon-
intensive energy
Architecturally elegant, well-integrated systems will increase market acceptance
BIPV systems provide the building owners with a highly visible public expression
of their environmental commitment

Wind Array Turbine System (WATS)
What is WATS ?
The Wind Array Turbine System (WATS) is the unique system where Wind
Turbines are designed to be installed in an array. The system provides the
architectural flexibility to capture the energy of the wind in urban and suburban
environments.

These turbines are small and light-weight in design, and therefore it facilitates
easy integration into a variety of architectural landscapes, adding both power
production and aesthetics to any project.

WATS - Applications
The turbines can be installed on rooftops, parapets, side walls, and pole
structures. Custom applications can also be implemented.
Performance
Rated Power: 240 Watts at 35 MPH
Generator: 3-phase, rated at 500 Watts
Output Voltage Rating: 30V constant-voltage
Output Current Rating: up to 8 Amps
Different Blade Configurations

Turbine Mounting Systems
Several different types of mounting systems are available to give the
flexibility to easily attach to various types of building surfaces.
Turbines can be positioned as close as 4 -6 apart or even closer, 2-3
apart, with alternate mounting layout.

Wind Energy Building Platforms

The windy side of a building

can produce an updraft,
AirFlow at Building Roof Edge
which if harnessed properly,
can produce thousands of KW
Hours of power per year.

Enough to power the building

and perhaps the entire block
through mini-grids. Unlike
solar energy systems wind
energy can work all day and
all night.
