A BEUATIFUL CITY CALLED VENICE

Some people say that Italy is the county of the most beautiful and romantic cities,
and when we think about Italy, we think about Rome immediately, but there is also
another beautiful city in this wonderful country. This city is Venice, or also known as the
City of Water, the City of Bridges, The Floating City and the City of Canals. In
addition, Venice is the capital of the Veneto region, and it is located in the northeast
of Italy and across a group of 118 (one hundred and eighteen) small islands, which are
separated by canals and linked by bridges. What is more, the name Venice is derived
from people who inhabited the region by the 10th Century (B.C.). Besides, it used to be
the capital of The Republic of Venice.

As being a touristic place, this city offers a lot of fantastic things to do. If we have
the opportunity of travelling to Venice, we could visit the theatre called La Fenice
(The Phoenix, in English), which is known for its luxurious auditorium and its royal
stage apart from being a theatre dedicated particularly to the Italian Opera. On the
other hand, we could discover The Murano and Burano islands by going on an
excursion in which you will learn about the traditional craft that made these islands
famous. Moreover, this is the perfect excursion for those looking for a combination of
history and action behind the scenes.

On the other hand, Venice has a lot of outstanding buildings to see, one of them
is, for instance, The Palace Ducal of Venice (located at the eastern end of the Piazza
San Marco, which is considered as one of the symbols of the glory and power of
Venice), as well as The Cathedral of Saint Mark, which is one of the most exquisite
cathedrals in Europe and all over the world. People who visit this sacred building
remark that its gothic architecture can make the tourists feel astonished because of its
magnificence and majesty.

To sum up, Venice is a beautiful city with so much diversity thanks to the many
types of spectacular architectural designs undertaken by the centuries, which make this
place so unique and overwhelming. People who visit this city say that it is the most
magical, romantic and relaxing place to visit.
