ThisprocedureassumesthatyouhavesuccessfullyinstalledCommonElement
Manager(CEM)andthattheCEMserverisonthesameIPnetworkastheIWF.It
alsoassumesthatthenecessaryupdatefileshavebeendownloadedfrom
http://support.utstar.comandhavebeenunzippedonthecomputerrunning
CEMclientorserver.

WhenupdatinganIWF,theCEMrestartstheTC200IWFapplication;when
updatingaservercomponent,CEMrestartstheserviceandservicesrelatedtothe
componentyouareupdating.

2 Enterthecommandupgradesystemimage.
Thelistofrpmfilesunderthedirectory/root/iwfBinaries/cli/sdlgetsdisplayed.
3 Whenpromptedchoosetherequiredimage.
Thesoftwareupgradebegins.
4 Oncethesoftwareupgradeiscomplete,verifythesoftwareversionbyexecuting
thecommandshowsystemsoftwareversion.

DownloadingSoftware ThetypicalZModemsoftwaredownloadusestheZModemtransferprotocolto
UsingZModem transferafilefromthehostPCtothetargetPeripheralCard.Useaterminal
emulatorthatsupportsZModemprotocol.UponcompletionoftheZModem
transfer,aresultmessageisdisplayed,indicatingthestatusofthefiletransfer.A
successfultransfermessagedoesnotconfirmthattheentireprocesscompleted
successfullytheremaybeanerrorwhenprogrammingNVRAM.

AfterthePeripheralCardisfinishedprocessingthedownloadedfile,itwaits
aboutfivesecondsandanASCIIresultstringissenttotheserialport.

UseZModemtransfertodownloadsoftwarethroughtheconsoleport.This
sectioncontainstheSDL2proceduretoinstallcodeonthePeripheralCard
throughtheconsoleport.

PerformingaZModem TosendthenewcodetothePeripheralCardfromtheconsoleportyoumust
Transfer haveaterminalprogramtosendfilesusingtheZModemprotocol,acomputer
withaserialportcapableofbaudratesupto115200bps,andanullmodem
cablewithRJ45andRS232oneitherend.

ToperformaZModemtransfer:
1 Preparethesoftwaredownloadbysettingyourterminalprogramto115200bps,
8bitspercharacter,noparity,onestopbit,andhardwareflowcontrolnone.
IfpowertothePeripheralCardisremovedduringanyofthesesoftware
downloadsteps,restarttheprocedure.

2 LaunchaterminalemulationprogramsupportingtheZmodemtransferprotocol
(forexample,HyperTerminal).
3 ManuallyrebootthePeripheralCardbyunseatingandreseatingit.
4 AftertheBIOSversiondisplaysandtheapplicationisloaded,theprompt
appears,typeAT{Z}inallcapitalletters.
