Subject: The additional investigation works in the area of potential occurrence of the
instability, above the tunnel tubes at the exit portal of the tunnel Peuj

In accordance to the activities during the construction of the tunnel Peuj and accompanying part
of the Motorway at the Section Klope - D. Graanica at Corridor Vc at Bosnia and Herzegovina,
which are requested by The Rule Book of Geotechnical Investigation and Testing Including
Organisation and Content of the Missions of Geotechnical Engineering ((Official Gazzete of
Federation BiH, No. 2/06,72/07 and 32/08), that is (Pravilnik o geotehnikim straivanjima i
ispitivanjima te organizaciji i sadraju misija Geotehnikog Ininjerstva Slubene novine
Federacije BiH, br. 2/06,72/07 i 32/08) in Bosnian), as part of the Mission G32 we propose the
additional investigation works in the area of potential occurrence of the instability, above the tunnel
tubes at the exit portal of the tunnel Peuj.

In order to assess the dimensions of the potential landslide area above the tunnel tubes at the exit
portal of the tunnel Peuj (the boundaries of the potential landslide area as mapped in the
engineering-geological report is presented in the Appendix 1), including the depth of the potential
sliding plane, we propose the following investigation works:

1) The geodetic survey of the potential landslide area (the situation layout, longitudinal section
and cross sections);

2) The execution of the three additional boreholes:


o B1-PP of depth L=25m, located in the axis of the left tunnel tube, in the area of
potential instability, as presented in the Appendix 1;
o B2-PP of depth L=25m, located in the axis of the right tunnel tube, in the area of
potential instability, as presented in the Appendix 1;
o INC-PP of depth L=35m, located near the right tunnel tube, in the area of potential
instability, as presented in the Appendix 1; (the borehole should be equiped with
inclinometer tube, measuring interval is once a month after the zero measurement
to be carried out immeditelly after the installation)

3) The geological mapping of the representative engineering-geological profiles (as presented


in the Appendix 1):
- the cross section 1-1, intersecting the boreholes B1-PP and B2-PP;
- the longitudinal section 2-2, intersecting the boreholes B2-PP and INC-PP.
