NMDC a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise is a Premier Mining Organization and


consistently profit making organization with a large turn over. Applications are invited
from interested candidates for the following posts in Bailadila Iron Ore Mine, Kirandul
Complex, Post-Kirandul, Distt-South Bastar Dantewada, State – Chhattisgarh.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. Age below 35 years for Sl.No. 01 and 30 years for Sl.No. 02, 03 & 04. Relaxable by 5
years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates and
as per rules for Ex-servicemen and Physically handicapped. Reservation of posts for
SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/ Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India
directives.
2. The above vacancies are provisional.
3. Relaxation of experience may be considered in case of deserving candidates for
Jr.Officer (Survey) (Trainee).
4. Where the number of applications received in response to advertisement is large, the
Company reserves the right to fix the criteria for calling the candidates on the basis of
qualifications, experience, etc. After screening the applications, the candidates will be
called for written test.
5. Cut off date for determining the age limit of candidates for the post will be closing date
of receipt of application.
6. In the selection process, a candidate has to secure minimum marks in the written test
to be called for interview. The minimum marks will be decided by the Company based
on the performance of the candidate in the written examination. However, since the
final selection would depend on the number of vacancies as also relative performance,
merely qualifying in the written test and personal interview, will not entitle a candidate
to appointment in the Company. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to
passing the company’s medical examination as standards laid down under policy.
7. Company reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ enlarge the recruitment procedure and
process, if the need so arises, without issuing any notice or assigning any reason
thereof.
8. Candidates appearing for written test will come at their own expense. However, out-
station SC/ST/PwD candidates will be paid TA of second class Railway/Bus fare on
production of Railway/Bus tickets by shortest route as per rules. All the outstation
candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro single IInd class Train or
Bus fare by the shortest route subject to production of proof of inward journey.
9. (i) The Management may, depending upon the suitability of the candidates, offer
the posts of Jr.Officer (Survey)/ Jr.Officer (Survey)(Trainee). In the case of Trainees, the
training period will be for 1 year. The stipend consolidated will be paid as indicated in
column No. 02 below.

(ii) Candidate selected for the post of Sl.No. 02, 03 & 04 will be placed as “Trainee”
for 18 months duration, during which they will be paid a consolidated stipend as
indicated in Column (2) below. On successful completion of training period, they will be
offered scale of pay as indicated in Column (3) below:

The above scales of pay are under upward revision w.e.f. 01-01-2007.
10. On successful completion of training period and placement in regular scale of pay, in
addition to basic pay and dearness allowance, the candidates will be eligible for other
fringe benefits like conveyance allowance, free medical facilities, leave travel
concession, leave encashment, incentive bonus, gratuity, family pension, provident
fund etc as per Corporation rule in force from time to time.
11. Applications should be accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 100/-(Rupees
hundred only) in respect of Jr.Officer (Survey) (Trainee) Post i.e.(Sl.No. 01) and for
posts of Sl.No. 02, 03 & 04 for Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) drawn in favour of Jt.G.M.
(Finance), BIOM, Kirandul Complex, Kirandul payable at State Bank of India, Kirandul.
Demand Draft is not necessary for SC/ST & PwD candidates.
12. Candidates working in Government/Quasi Government services/Public Sector
undertakings/or Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel or produce
“No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview.

14. The Management in no way will be responsible for non-receipt of the application form
in time due to postal delay or any other reason.
