Brockton, Froid Rural, North Poplar, North Wolf Point, and
Frazer that do not currently have access to 5Mbs (up and
down combined). This project will also bring Fiber to the
Premise to the exchange of Poplar which is the
headquarters of the Fort Peck Assiniboine-Sioux Tribes.
The service will be accessible by each location and
delivered by GPON and/or active Ethernet topologies.

Foothills Rural KY $20,972,482 This nearly $21 million award to the Foothills Rural
Telephone Cooperative, Telephone Cooperative Corp. will be used to conduct a
Corporation, Inc. Fiber-to-the-Premise/Last Mile construction project in parts
of Magoffin and Lawrence counties in Kentucky. Nearly
6,000 people stand to benefit, as do almost 800 businesses
and 8 community institutions.  Foothills Rural Telephone
cooperative estimates the construction will directly support
more than 300 jobs upfront, and will also drive economic
development and create jobs for decades to come.
