Facial expression provides current mind state of person. The most natural way to express emotions
is using facial expressions. Human often use nonverbal cues such as hand gestures, facial
expressions, and tone of the voice to express feelings in interpersonal communications. It is very
time consuming and difficult to create and manage large playlists and to select songs from these
playlists. Thus, it would be very helpful if the music player itself selects a song according to the
current mood of the user. Thus, an application can be developed to minimize these efforts of
managing playlists. In this Project, we will study about how to automatically detect the mood of
the user and present him a playlist of songs which is suitable for his current mood. The image is
captured using webcam and that image is passed under different stages to detect the mood or
emotion of the user. The application is thus developed in such a way that it can manage content
accessed by user, analyze the image properties and determine the mood of the user. The application
also includes the facility of sorting songs based on mp3 file properties so that they can be added
into appropriate playlists according to the mood.
Virtual Outfit
Virtual outfit of clothes has received much attention recently due to its commercial potential. It
can be used for online shopping or intelligent recommendation to narrow down the selections to a
few designs and sizes. In this Project, we present a mixed reality system for 3D virtual clothes try-
on that enables a user to see herself wearing virtual clothes while looking at a mirror display,
without taking off her actual clothes. The user can select various virtual clothes for trying-on. The
system physically simulates the selected virtual clothes on the user's body in real-time and the user
can see virtual clothes fitting on the mirror image from various angles as she moves.
Virtual Hair-Art
In this Project we present an effective method for modeling realistic hairstyles, taking into account
artificial hairstyling processes. The result is a detailed geometric model of hairs that can be
rendered and animated via existing methods. Our technique exploits the analogy between hairs
and a vector field; interactively and efficiently models global and local hair flows by
superimposing procedurally defined vector field primitives that have local influence. Usually only
a very small number of vector field primitives are needed to model a complicated hairstyle. An
initial model of hair strands is extracted from the superimposed vector fields by tracing their field
lines. Random natural or artificial curliness can be added to the initial model through a parametric
hair offset function with a randomized distribution of parameters over the scalp. Techniques for
shearing and clustering are also! Designed to improve the overall appearance of the hair model.
Our technique has been successfully applied to generate a variety of realistic hairstyles with length
distributions.
