JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: CAMPAIGN MANAGER FOR WASHINGTON VOTING JUSTICE CAMPAIGN

Win/Win envisions a new political landscape that inspires people; where individuals are engaged with civic
and social institutions because they see themselves and their values reflected in the policies being advocated
for and in the leaders with the power to improve their lives.

To achieve this vision, Win/Win supports a network of progressive organizations coming together to advance
racial, social, and economic equity across Washington through civic and political engagement. We provide
strategic coordination, data and research, and individual technical assistance to increase our collective ability
to create change.
Win/Win convenes the Washington Voting Justice Coalition (WVJC), a large coalition of organizations and
individuals representing disenfranchised communities, good government, service providers, advocacy, and
civic engagement organizations, all dedicated to ensuring every Washingtonian has their voice heard and their
vote counted by changing power structures that deny certain people meaningful access to democracy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Win/Win and the WVJC seek a motivated Campaign Manager with a long-term vision to execute the set-up of
a pro-voting reform campaign, whether in the 2018 legislature and/or on the 2018 ballot, including field
organizing, research & communications, stakeholder outreach, and coalition management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be a temporary, full-time staff position housed at Win/Win with the responsibility of
overseeing the WA Voting Justice campaign. This position will work under the supervision of the Program
Director of Win/Win and will take guidance from the Coalitions leadership team.
Specific responsibilities include:

Planning, organizing, and directing strategies to advance the WA Voting Justice campaign, including:
o Coordinating field and stakeholder outreach across multiple organizations and public agencies
o Executing research & communications needs along with coalition workgroups
o Ensuring ongoing engagement from coalition partners through shared accountability and clear
work plans
o Helping shepherd decisions through campaign governance structure
Implementing the racial justice goals of the campaign that include a budget that drives resources
towards capacity needs within communities of color and a campaign structure that is accountable to
and shares decision making power equally with people of color led institutions.
Tracking progress of campaign, including changes in public opinion, engagement of leaders in various
geographies, and advancements in policy changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with multi-year strategic and issue-based campaigns with an emphasis on legislative and ballot
initiative campaigns;
High level of leadership, judgment, and ability to manage multi-faceted campaigns and sensitive political
situations;
Experience with team and coalition management; with an emphasis on achieving outcomes while also
enhancing trust, transparency, honesty, direct communication, creativity, and redefining wins within a team;
Self-motivation and ability to work independently;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Experience managing inclusive campaigns that address white privilege and racism internally and externally;
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to emergent issues;
Ability to travel throughout the state;
Spanish or other additional language capacity preferred;
SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a temporary, full-time position from mid-August 2017 to March 31, 2018 with the possibility of
extending through 2018. Salary is $4,500 a month. Win/Win offers a comprehensive benefits package,
including health and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday schedules.
