I wish to be considered for the post of Head of Mission Kenya/Somalia with Secour Islamique
France.

Having successfully implemented and managed for more than fifteen years at a senior level
complex and challenging programs in Southeast and Central Asia (Including Afghanistan), Haiti
and Africa, I believe I understand and posses strong Critical, Managerial, Financial and
Diplomatic Expertise to thrive and surpass expectations.

I am able to work alongside organization staff, government and donor counterparts; motivate
and convey in a non threatening manner an ideology and way of implementing and planning to
harvest positive and constructive results; more specifically in the context of a results based
program framework.

Specifically for this role, you will be aware that I have just recently returned from this particular
region with several missions to Somalia. This has bequeathed me with a more thorough
knowledge and understanding of the socio-cultural environment of the country.

To this role, I would also contribute:

Years of international project management and implementation in complex emergency
humanitarian response and health infrastructure development through collaboration
with bilateral and multilateral stakeholders
Twelve years in Southeast Asia, first working on providing Khmer refugees, more
specifically women and children basic needs (health and protection) on the
Cambodian/Thai border with UNHCR as an implementing partner;
In the context of the Health Sector Support Project (HSSP) in Cambodia, developing,
implementing, strengthening and monitoring basic health structures with emphasis on
dependable results focused approach. This, primarily through the ADB (Asian
Development Bank), Global Fund, JICA (Japanese International Cooperation Agency) and
CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency);
Have advocated cross-cutting issues in Reproductive Health through institutional and
governmental partnerships for both IDPs and the general population in post earthquake
Haiti;
Fluency in French (mother tongue), English, Haitian Creole. Knowledge of Spanish,
Khmer and Thai languages
