1 General
1.1 Hybrid cable and Assembly

This manual describing the hybrid Cable and Its Assembly products of
construction, technical information, installation guideline ,and safety
prevention. This hybrid cable is consisted of several pairs of Fiber
Optic(FO) and several pairs of Direct Current (DC) power supply
wires ,The drawing of assembly and its application are as follows:

6 Un-package the Box
6.1 Delivery the Product Box to the site, prepare all the tools
which will be used.
6.2 Check the Label to confirm the product is correct.

6.6 Leave the tail and 2meters(red) hybrid cable
Notes: There two ends of this cable, one end marked UP, another end is DN,
normally UP end will be hung up to the top of tower, DN end will be put into the
BTS. But the structure and the performance of both UP and DN side are 100% same.

7 Engineer Preparing
7.1 Engineer should have tower climbing license.
7.2 All the necessary tools for cable hanging up.
7.3 Prepare the Cale Clamp and Grounding Kits.
Notes: Be very careful NOT OVER BENDING THE CABLE

8 Site Preparing
8.1 NSN Fiber/Power cable cabinet in site

9 Procedure for Installation
9.1 Checking the identification of Cable End:

According to identification of cable end, top end will be marked (UP),
bottom end will be marked (DN).
9.2 Cable hanging preparation:

Engineer climbs to the top of tower, taking the pulley and rope, install the
pulley at the proper position on the tower, one end of rope is passed through
the groove of pulley to the bottom of tower, the length of rope shall be more
than two times length of pulley to the bottom, this is easy for the engineer fixes
one end of rope on the cable, and pull the other end of rope at the bottom of
tower. Engineer takes the end of rope fixing on the outer end of cable, the
fixing portion on the main cable shall be more than 1 meter, the fixing portion
on the branch area is strictly prohibited, because this will damage to the
properties of FO.
9.3 Cable hanging

During the pulling of cable to the top of tower, cable kink and torsion,
scratch the surface of cable, bump on the end of FO are strictly
prohibited .
9.4 Fixing the cable on the tower with Clamp

Pull the cable to the proper position for installation, use cable clamp
fixing it on the tower.
9.5 Take out the Package of the UP end:

Check and confirm the Fiber terminal and DC terminal are good.

9.6 Install the DC wire Terminal
The DC cable shall be protected with NSN plastic tube, strip off DC
cable insulation with approximate 10mm, Red cable should be installed
to terminal ,black cable to terminal .
Please see the 9.16: prepare for DC cable and Copper shield
installation.
9.7 Installing the FO Connector :

The RRU optical fiber junction box shall be opened with proper tool,
Open the cap of LC connector of FO ,put the connector into optical
Modular ,the pushing force shall be proper and do not damage the end
of ferrule , Install the IP shield, checking everything is correct , put the
cover back.
9.8 Pulling the cable end to BTS

Pull the bottom end of cable to the BTS room.
9.9 Take out the Package of the DN end:

Take off the down end packing material of branch part ,and inspect
thecable if any damage or not
9.10 Open the BBU protecting cover

The BBU optical fiber junction box shall be opened with proper tool
9.11 Install the DC wire terminal :

The down end of DC cable shall be protected with NSN plastic
tube ,strip off DC cable insulation with*approximate 10mm, Red cable is
install to terminal ,black cable is install to terminal .
Please see the 9.16: prepare for DC cable and Copper shield
installation.

9.12 Install the FO connector to the BBU:
The lid of BBU optical fiber junction box shall be opened with proper
tool , Open the cap of LC connector of FO ,put the connector into
optical Modular ,the pushing force shall be proper and do not damage
the end of ferrule .Install the IP shield,checking everything is correct ,
Put the cove back.
9.13 Checking the installation and clean the site.
9.14 Finish the hybrid cable installation; continue the system
commissioning test and Integration.
9.15 Preparing for DC cable and Copper Shield installation:

11 Grounding kits Installation
11.1 Quantity: Two pieces Grounding kits will be used in one
Hybrid cable.
11.2 Cut the Outer Jacket

Determine the position to be fixed for grounding kit, using pipe cutting knife ,to
make a circle cut , be careful not to damage the aluminum armorThe cutting
length is 6 cm.
11.3 Using the knife to cut the outer Jacket 6cm
