What do you believe is the greatest obstacle for girls and women in your country and why? (Max. 250 words)

In Indonesia society believe most of power is belong to men. In family, Men naturally took the role of decision maker and
economic responsible. It create families are often unwilling to invest in girls education because they won't bring direct economic
support to families. Girls are value only as homemaker and make them lose the desire to be at the top at very beginning. When a
woman going out to work is often read by the society as meaning the husband is incapable to support his family and making men
limiting woman from working. These paradigms make most of woman in Indonesia do formal education in order to marriage into
good family who only tolerate an educated woman as family member. After marriage, they will stop developing themselves and
start focus on following orders from her new family. Even if woman are allowed to work they dont have much choices but lower
paying fields, so most of their times are used for households. This is the reason of inequality of access between man and woman in
certain studies such as science, technology, and policies. While these study are essential for bringing change in national
development and woman continue to have limited movement. After all, many woman are not realize the situation. They believe
rising child and being weaker party who protected by men are naturally normal. On the other side, there are woman who
desperately asking equality. Unfortunately, in Indonesia this is still remaining as sweet dream.

"From Student to Student" community.


Its happened one year ago when i and my friends were in middle of conversation about our hard time during freshman student.
We admit many of student at that year got influence easily. Especially student who doesn't have guardian because their parent
living far from them.
On the other side, many senior student who were success both in academic and vocal in some organizations. Its clearly the
answers for the current problem.
I schedule meeting with 10 friends from various universities who had same thought and big desire to solve the problem. I made
clear the meeting was brainstorming meeting, so any opinions were very welcome. First of all, the team responded very positively
to this approach. We spent one month to construct the idea. Right off the bat, we come up with concept From student to
student. We gave the opportunity for higher-grade student who were willing to be guide for freshman student in one whole year,
the freshmen student will be the guide for next year new student. Our principal are Religious, Independent, and Professional. Its
hard at beginning but now at least 1 guide handle 5 until 15 freshman student.

and recommendations to G20 Leaders on how to increase female labor force participation.
