SAI LTE eNodeB Demo Features Testplan

1 Scope
The present document specifies the Demo features testing for the 3GPP Evolved Node B (eNB).
The following information can be found in this part:
- the overall test structure;
- the test purposes; and
- a description of the specific test procedure and short message exchange table.

The present document is valid for eNB implemented according to 3GPP Release 10.0.0 for
control path

2 System Requirements

This LTE eNB test plan is based on the following system requirements. It is compliant to 3GPP
Release 10.0.0.specifications for corresponding control path

Improved instantaneous peak data rates

70Mbps for Downlink
30Mbps for Uplink

SAI LTE eNodeB Demo Features Testplan
Improved Spectrum flexibility. Ability to deploy the system in many different frequency bands,
in paired and un-paired spectrum, and with different spectrum allocations
(Forexample:1.25Mhz,2.5Mhz,10Mhz,15Mhz and 20Mhz).
The smallest addressable resource block needs to meet 12 consecutive subcarriers in
frequency and 14 symbols in time.[The resource block is 180Khz in the frequency domain and
equal to 1 ms{or one sub frame} in the time domain].
TTI's must satisfy latency requirements on the user plane.
Fully complaint IP traffic admission control or handover between cells or sectors.
Support hard hand-off mechanisms.
Support for TDD and FDD.
