Scene 1
Narrator: Dont afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve
greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. If you never knew, that
quote is by the famous William Shakespeare. Life is a stage in which we all are
actors. Never be quick to judge, because you never know. The king in this story
condemn a maid of stealing but little did he know that she waswell whats
the point of telling you the story when you can just watch. Good day everyone,
the team from Boonwattana school presents to you The King and I. please do
enjoy

King: What time does the new maid get here?

Chief Maid: Patience my lord, she will be here. Words arrived that she left
already. (She attempts to leave)
King: I will be the one to tell you what to leave..
Chief Maid: Of course my lord.
(Enters the servant, holding a tray)
Servant: My lord, your dessert. Just as you like them.
King: Are you my maid? What non sense! (He gets up, paces up and down)
Before I get back, I need to be serve by my new maid. I dont care how you do
it. (He exits)
Narrator: Such temper, anger..this tell u he has never been touched by love
before.
Chief Maid: Ever since the passing away of her royal highness, he has been
unstable.
Servant: I hear noises. The long awaited has finally arrived. Let me check.
Chief Maid: I must see to it that she attends to my lord immediately. (She exits)
Narrator: Everyone in the palace hopes that this maid will bring a change in
his majesty the king. By the way her name is Anna. She comes from a line of
famous housemaids. Now you see why everyone is excited about her coming.

Scene 2
Anna: Wow, this is such a beautiful palace. I cant wait to meet all those who
work here. We will get along just well. Oh my master, I wonder what hes like.
Servant: May the gods be with you. You are welcome to Mulberry house.
Anna: Thank you. Tis my pleasure. Where is everyone? I cant wait to meet
them.
Servant: Ohhhh my dear, the master is very moody. His ways has made so
many to go. But we hope you will bring new light into his life.
Chief Maid: Ahh finally, you are here. I am Miss. Potter, the chief maid but my
lord requests your presence immediately.
Anna: Oh, is that so? I must attend to him then. What should I do?
Chief Maid: You must remember that he is a good man and you need to be
patient with him.
Anna: How does he like his food?
Servant: Not very different, just make sure he gets in on time. Always
remember to look for the king. His eyes do fancy beauty.
Chief Maid: Hush hushoff you go. Dont you have chores to attend to? You
are very talkative.
(The servant dashes off smiling and giggling)
Chief Maid: Dont mind him. Come come, let me show you where you will be
staying. Follow me..
Scene 3
Narrator: As time went on, Anna adapted very well in the palace. She has been
serving the king with all her heart, hoping that someday he will come around.
Her main aim was not to make him forget his mom but to make him celebrate
her life. The King let Anna in, she could even access his bedroom as well. Until
one day, the king noticed that his mothers favorite bracelet was missing.
King: I have called you all here because a great act of treason has been
committed. My mothers bracelet is missing. ( As he was speaking, Anna
entered) You.
Anna: Yes my lord, how may I be of service.
King: Silence, who have you permission to speak? Savage. You are the only
one who has access to my chambers. Where is my mothers bracelet?
Anna: But surely my lord, I have no.
King: Silence, you disgust me. Speak the truth..
Chief Maid: Anna, is this true?
King: Do you question me? You petty servant?
Chief Maid: Not my Lord. I will never question you.
Servant: This is unheard of.
Anna: But surely my lord, this must be a mistake? I will not take something
that is not mine.
Servant: Please, Anna do tell the truth and all will be forgiven.
Anna: I was never brought up to be like that.
King: You all have been given a deadline of 48 hours to produce that bracelet,
if not you will feel my wrath. (He exists)
Chief Maid: Our majesty doesnt look pleased at all. We must get to the bottom
of this.
Servant: Oh Anna, you have brought shame as disgrace to all.
Anna: But hang on everyone, this is not of my making. I am not a part of
this..
Everyone exits but the servant stayed on the stage
SCENE 4
Narrator: Evil is everywhere you look. Not everyone like happiness. Anna is
being accused by the king of stealing but the real thief is the servant. He prefer
to stay silent and see an innocent girl get banished.
Servant: (holding the bracelet) Hmmm, this will sell very high on the black
markets. If I sell this, I will quit this job and make my way back home. Hahaha I
will be a very rich person.
(the chief maid walks in looking very sad)
Servant: What seems to be the matter Miss. Potter?
Chief Maid: I bear bad news. His majesty has order Anna to be sent away from
the land, and never to return.
Servant: Oh, that is not a bad thing after all.
Chief Maid: Oh shut up you stupid fool. Anna is not that type of lady.
Servant: Dont you think she stole from out king?
Chief Maid: Not at all. I think she is innocent. Oh the poor girl, where will she
go.
(The king walks in and Anna is after him)
All: you are welcome your majesty
King: Silence, from today Anna, you cease to be a member of this household. I
forbid you to ever step foot in this kingdom again. You shall be sent to the evil
forest.
All: Ahhh but my lord
King: Silence, those are my orders, and they are effective immediately. Leave
thief and never return. (he walks out and the chief maid and servant go after
him)
Anna: What a sad world, for I know I am not. May my ancestor guide me
Scene 5
Narrator: As Anna left, time went by and life continued. One day the king was
dining and he called the servant to dance for him, guess what happened, to his
greatest dismay, he saw the bracelet on the servant
King: What is this I see? My mothers bracelet? You petty thief.
Servant: Oh no my Lord, I dont know how that got there
Chief Maid: Oh poor Anna, I knew it was never you.
King: You fool, how dare you deceived me? For this reason, you will be
beheaded. Oh, what have I done to that poor girl? And she a very loyal maid.
Chief Maid: It serves you right. I second you my lord.
Servant: But my Lord, it was an honest mistake. Please do have pity on me.
Chief Maid: No pity for the wicked my lord. Let your will be done.
King: I have spoken, so shall it be. Rom today, you cease to exit no more.
(He pulls out his sword and points it towards the servant and chases him out)
This is where you meet your doom.
Chief Maid: Wonders shall never end. Who would have known. Ohhhh I
think I am getting too old for this job.

Narrator: SO the story came to an end. Always remember, dont to in a rush to

draw conclusions. Well, all wells that end well..or wait all wells that dont end
well. That is better. We have come to tend of our story. We hope you enjoyed
