Reflection

(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience? By being a part of the strategic planning team for the Ben Hill County School District, I was able to be a part of a leadership team and
influence the vision, mission, and beliefs of our three to five-year plan with technology. Through voicing how technology could play an instrumental role in
project based learning and through communication with all stakeholders, all areas of capacity: learning, resource, and leadership included technology into
the action plan for 2018-2022.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge - The knowledge required in order to effectively express and demonstrate the place and importance of technology through education in our
schools mission, vision, and beliefs covered instructional technology tools, applications, and standards. In order to prove the importance, it was essential
that I was knowledgeable in the purpose of including technology in the five-year action plan including the role that it would play in creation, communication,
modification, etc. for all students and their success at each level of their educational career. By having the above-mentioned knowledge of the current
technologies and future technology possibilities, I was acting in lieu of a school technology leader through researching, recommending, designing,
developing, and communicating with district and school level personnel and community members.

Skills - I demonstrated various skills through my knowledge and participation in the strategic planning for Ben Hill County Schools. These skills included:
my ability to assist and create a vocabulary rich document that laid the framework for the learning capacity action plan, my ability to organize and format
the document to present information that was clear and concise, and through demonstrating skills acquired through the past year when working with
classroom teachers and students with technology integration.

Dispositions - Being a part of a community wide strategic planning team, it was important to have a positive disposition regarding the future of Ben Hill
County Schools. Through direct conservation in a positive and enthusiastic manner, I was able to influence others of the important role of technology
integration in each classroom in the school district and as to why technology should be included in the five-year action plan for the district.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed? This field experience directly impacted school improvement as it laid the ground work for the mission, vision, and beliefs of the school system,
which included an action plan through leadership, learning, and resource capacities, for the next five years. Faculty development will take place through
professional learning and PLCs (professional learning communities) to demonstrate the required jobs of each individual within the school to make the
action plans, school, and district a success. By being a part of this team and this field experience opportunity I was able to directly impact and take part in
strategic planning, have and understanding of what all is involved, and work towards the future through education in Ben Hill County.
