Just two weeks ago, our mission team hosted our first campaign

Cusco. Although Cusco is very much a “middle class” type of city, you don’t Cusco, Peru
have to go too far outside its borders to find many living in extreme poverty.
As Christians, we are obligated to help those in need, and as a
congregation we want to follow Christ’s example of love and
compassion. I believe we made great strides in this effort through the
generosity of those involved with our construction campaign, and we
established some relationships that we hope to continue throughout our
work here.

FUN TIMES WITH THE TEAM
While it was difficult to have Charla away from us while she waited to give
birth, we are so happy to have her back now along with baby Gabriela! We had
a fun baby shower for her when she got back, and the next day we also
celebrated our first 4th of July as a team here in Peru. In June, we were blessed
with the opportunity to spend several days with the two other mission teams
here in Peru (in Lima and Arequipa), and we look forward to future retreats
together, sharing stories and watching all of our kids grow up together.
