MAAN products have been well accepted by major OEMs (Original Equipment
Manufacturers) whose requirements are critical and typical in terms of Alloy Compositions,
specified Tolerances on Dimensions, which could be as stingent as DIN Systems. We are also
privileged to be one of the preferred suppliers to the Indian Army (Ordinance Equipment
Factory), Rail Coach Factory and ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corp. of India), to
name a few out of 100 satisfied consumers.
We are one of the Largest Manufacturers & Exporters of Aluminium Extruded Products in
India. The company has a strong foundation and presents itself globally with our customers
expanding to many countries in Middle East, Europe, Africa and the United States of America.
Our main expertise is in producing critical custom-made profiles ranging up to 10,000
different Shapes.
We at MAAN, Pithampur have 3 Extrusion Presses of 1460 USTON, 1400 USTON, 1100
USTON with capacity sizes ranging from 5 7. All our equipments have been revamped to
the current technology with automated conveyerized run out systems, pullers and
stretchers. In order to cater our end users, we have on site 2 Anodizing units with a capacity
of 1800 TPA, where the material is supplied with anodic coating of 3 25 microns with cold
sealing. We offer silver, matt and all intermittent shades between light bronze to deep black.
Though we have in-house Hot Top Casting facilities providing approximately 1200 MT per
month, more than 60% of our consumption are from Homogenized Wagstaff Billets sourced
from primary Aluminium providers.
Global Presence
These few words on QUALITY POLICY make a complete picture of our organisation. Quality
and Customer services are Management Commitments. Our Quality Assurance Laboratory is
equipped with modern and up to date testing facilities such as the Optical Emission Colour
Spectrometer to check the chemical composition of the desired Aluminium Alloy being
produced by us.
We have also installed state of the art Complete Laboratory with equipments such as the
Spectrometer, Computerised UTS Tensile Machine, Brinnel Hardness Tester, Rockwell
Hardness Tester, Conductivity Meter, Profile Projector and various other types of Gauges to
measure quality of our product right from the raw material stage till the end applications to
ensure high quality extrusion products required in various industrial sectors.
Extrusion Dies are heart of any extrusion industry, so to achieve a very high level of
dimensional accuracy and smooth surface finish we have an In-house Tooling Facility with
complete range of CNC Milling, CNC Wire Cut, EDM and Complete Heat Treatment facility.
Apart from the given infrastructure, our Quality Control Department keeps constant
supervision through efficient quality management systems on processes and systems to
ensure optimum final product quality. Research and Development under our technical
experts is an ongoing process for continuous lean production and spot improvements by
appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
However, the key concern is integrated in marketing with a satisfied customer as main flows
of all our activities and efforts with the help of Men & Machine.

Note 1: It is the responsibility of the supplier to ensure that any element not specifically limited is not present in an amount such as is generally accepted as having
an adverse effect on the product. If a purchaser's requirements necessitate limits for any element not specified these should be agreed to between the supplier and
the purchaser. Note 2: Major alloying elements have been printed in bold face type.
*Titanium and / or other grain refining elements and / or chromium may be present at the option of the supplier provided the total content does not exceed 0.3
percent.
Tolerances on overall widths and widths across flats of bars, and regular sections (at metal dimensions)
Thick-ness
Width of section
of section
4.1 Regular Sections - The dimensional tolerance of regular sections and solid bars are covered in Tables 1, 2, 3 and 4. However, an extra tolerance of 50
percent shall be allowed for non-heat-treatable alloys 52000, 53000, 55000 and 54300.
4.1.1 Tolerances for bars and sections of dimensions larger than those covered by Tables 2, 3 and 4 and shall be subject to agreement between the supplier and the
purchaser.
4.1.2 For determining the tolerances for regular sections, such as squares and rectangular bars, angles, T-sections, I-beams, H-sections, Z-sections and any other
normal types of sections which can conveniently be divided into approximate rectangles with measurable dimensions, the section shall be divided into a
series of two rectangles. For the purpose of determining tolerances on thickness and width, the widths of each such rectangle shall be the same as the major
linear dimension of the angle, and the tolerance on thickness of each leg of the angle shall be taken as if that leg were a rectangle of the same overall
dimension.
4.2 Sections of Complicated Shape - Sections not covered by Tables 1 to 4 shall be regarded as sections of complicated shape. Tolerances for these sections
shall be subject to mutual agreement between the supplier and the Purchaser. The tolerances shall be based, as far as possible, on the tolerances prescribed
for regular sections.
4.3 Section for which specially close tolerances are required - Additional Manufacturing operations are necessary where specially close tolerances are required
and such tolerances shall be agreed upon between the supplier and the purchaser.
4.4 Tolerances for Concavity and Convexity - The tolerances for concavity and convexity shall be as follows :
Example : The tolerances for concavity and convexity for a solid section of 150 mm width shall be as follows:
4.5 Tolerances for Straightness and Twist - All bars and sections shall be supplied in a straightened condition and reasonably free twist. The tolerances for
straightness and twist, shall be as follows :
Note 1: The Same tolerance values apply for both straightness and twist.
Note 2: - Twist is normally measured by placing the extruded section on a flat surface and measuring the maximum distance at any point along its length between
the bottom surface of the section and the flat surface. From this measurement, the deviation from true straightness of the section is subtracted. The remainder is the
twist.

3. For Al-Zn-Mg, Al-Mg and Al-Cu alloys, Class 2 tolerances shall apply.
4. For Al, Al-Mn and Al-Mg-Si alloys, Class 1 tolerances shall apply.
Notes: 1. Tubes with wall thickness intermediate between standard sizes will have the tolerance of the next higher wall thickness.

1. When outside diameter, inside diameter and wall thickness are all specified, standard tolerances are applicable to any two of these dimensions. but not
