Subject: Media Review and Discussion Blog.

This memo is to inform you of the proposal, objectives, methods, timeline, evaluation
criteria, and resources I will be using for my independent project; Media Review and
Discussion Blog.

Proposal
I will be researching and developing a media review and discussion blog. The purpose of
this blog will be to serve as an online portal where I can further my writing skills, have an
online presence, and convey information to others. On this blog I will write three movie
reviews, one video game review, and one video game industry related article. By the end
of this project I hope to have a sustainable format in which I can build on in the future.

Objectives
My objectives for this project are as follows:
• I will learn the proper techniques and methods to write a movie review and a
video game review.
• I will develop an online presence to direct other people in the industry and future
employers to my work and ideas.
• I will enhance my writing skills and research ability to write an appropriate online
article.
• Improve my critical and analytical assessments of media sources.
• Discover an appropriate online format to display my work.

Methods
I will use the following methods to produce the content and design of the blog:
• Research other websites, past movie reviews and video game reviews, and past
articles to develop an appropriate format and design in which to conduct my written
work.
• Research other websites to find ideas for an appropriate layout of my articles.
• Watch three movies and finish one video game to review.
• Analytically critique and write a review for each media viewed.
• Research and formulate opinions on a video game industry topic or issue.
