Objectives :
To improve the standard of English in the school
To learn English through fun activities
To arouse the pupils interest in using and learning
English through songs
To increase pupils self esteem

English Week organised by the English Panel was held on the 10th April to
14th April 2017. There are three main activities organised for the week. The first
activity was English Quiz which was held during class period. The second
activity was Search Words which was also held during class period. Both
activities had to be held during class period as there was no other suitable time
to organise them. The materials for Quiz and Word Search were prepared by
the subject teacher for each class.
The highlight activity was the Singing Competition which was held on the
11th April 2017 at 1.45 p.m. The programme was held at school hall. The opening
ceremony was completed by Head of Panel, Madam Jamby Rinchog as the
headmaster and all the Senior Assistants were not able to attend the
competition. There were 40 participants for this competition with 22
participants from Level 1 and 18 participants for Level 2. Special thanks to our
judges for the day, Madam Pirra Leslie, Mr. Ismail Edi and Mr Rashid for giving
us their time and cracking their heads picking the winners for the competition.
With the end of this English Week, we want to thank the Headmaster, all
Senior Assistants, fellow teachers, the staffs and students who have supported
our activities. We hope that all the staff and pupils of SK Batu Kitang will
continue supporting English Panel activities in the future.
