PROJECT: PROPOSED 2-STOREY RESIDENCE WITH ROOF

DECK
LOCATION: Caloocan City
OWNER: Caluag, Kayestene Jade C.

SITE WORK
Staking out of building, establishment of lines grades and benchmarks.
All excavation work including all necessary shoring bracing, and drainage of
storm water from site. All backfilling and grading, removal of excess material
from site. Protection of property, work and structures, workmen, and other
people from damage and injury.

LINES, GRADES AND BENCHMARKS

Staking out accurately the lines of the building and of the other
structures included in the contract, and establish grades therefore, after
which secure approval by Architect before any excavation work is
commenced.
Erect basic batter boards and basic reference marks, at such places
where they will not be disturbed during the construction of the foundations.

EXCAVATION
Structural Excavations-Excavations shall be depths Structural
Excavations-Excavations shall be depths shall be filled in concrete, and
bottom of such shall be level. All structural excavations shall extend as
sufficient distance from the wall and footings to allow for proper erection and
dismantling of forms, for installation of service and for inspection. All
excavations shall be inspected and approved before pouring any concrete,
laying underground services for placing select fill materials. The contractor
shall control the grading in the vicinity of all excavated areas to prevent
surface drainage running into excavations. Water which accumulates in
excavated areas shall be removed by pumping before fill or concrete is
placed therein.

PLACING AND COMPACTING BACKFILL

Common Fill-shall be approved site- excavated material free from
roots, stumps and other perishable or objectionable matter.
Select Fill-shall be placed where indicated and shall consist of gravel,
crushed rock, or a combination of thereof. The material shall be free from
abode, vegetable matters and shall be thoroughly tamped after placing.
Before placing fikk material, the surface upon which it will be placed shall be
cleared of all brush roots, vegerable matter and debris, scarified and
thoroughly wetted t insure good bonding between the ground.

DISPOSAL AND SURPLUS MATERIALS

Any excess materials remaining after completion of the earthworks
shall be disposed of hauling and spreading in nearby spoil areas designated
by the OWNER. Excavated materials deposited in spoil areas shall be graded
to a uniform surface.

FORMS AND SCAFFOLDINGS

All forms for concrete works shall be properly braced or tied together
so as to maintain the correct position and shape of the concrete members.
Forms shall be constructed sufficiently tight to prevent bulging and seepage
of water.

Forms should not be removed until the concrete has attained sufficient
strength to support its own weight and any loads that may be placed on it.
Side forms of girders and beams may be removed earlier than the bottom
forms but additional post or shoring must be placed under the girders or
beams until they attained their strength.

CONCRETE AND REINFORECED CONCRETE

GENERAL
Unless otherwise specified herein, concrete work shall conform to the
requirements or the ACI Building Code. Full cooperation shall be given other
trades to install embedded items. Provisions shall be made for setting items
not to be placed in the forms. Before concrete is placed embedded items
shall have been inspected and tested for aggregates and other materials
shall have been done.

MATERIALS
Cement for the concrete shall conform to the requirements of
specifications for Portland Cement (ASTM C-150).
Water used in mixing concrete shall be clean and free from other
injurious amount of oils, acids, alkaline, organic materials or other
substances that may be deleterious to concrete or steel.

The following proportions of concrete mixtures shall be used for the various parts of
the building:

Columns and Column Footings Class A 1:2:4

Concrete Hollow Blocks Class B 1:2 :5
Reinforced Concrete Beams Class A 1:2:4
Reinforced Concrete Floor Slab/Slab on Fill Class A 1:4:4

Class A concrete shall be a mixture of 1 part cement, 2 parts fine

aggregates and 4 parts coarse aggregates by volume, plus enough
clean water to make the mixture into a pliable paste.

Class B - concrete shall be a mixture of 1 part cement, 21/2 parts fine

aggregates and 5 parts coarse aggregates by volume, plus enough
clean water to make the mixture into pliable paste.

Class C - concrete shall be a mixture of 1 part cement, 3 parts fine aggregates

and 6 parts coarse aggregates by volume, plus enough clean water
to make the mixture into pliable paste.
Fine aggregates shall consist of hard, tough, durable, uncoated
particles. The shape of the particles shall be generally rounded or cubicle
and reasonably free from flat or elongated particles. The stipulated
percentages of fine and sand shall be obtained on either by processing of
natural sand or by the production of suitably graded manufactured sand.
Coarse Aggregate shall consist of grave, crushed grave or rock, or a
combination of gravel and rock, coarse aggregate shall consists of hard,
tough, durable, clean and uncoated particles. The sizes of coarse aggregates
shall consists of grave

STEEL REINFORCING BARS

All reinforcing bars to be used on this construction shall be made of round
deformed steel bars with lugs and projections on their sides to provide a greater
bond between the concrete and steel.

All steel reinforcing bars shall be accurately placed and secured against
displacement by tying them together in each bar intersection with #16 GI Tie wire.
No reinforcing Bars shall be welded for tying which can impair the strength and
durability of steel. The steel reinforcing bars indicated for footings, columns, slabs,
beams, girders and other concrete members shall all conform to the number, size
and spacing as indicated in the drawings or schedule of steel reinforcements.
No steel reinforcements shall be installed in place unless it is free from rust,
scale or other coatings which will destroy or reduce the bond with concrete.

CONCRETE HOLLOW BLOCKS

Concrete hollow blocks to be used in this project shall be at least 150mm
thick for exterior walls and 100mm thick for interior walls unless otherwise as
indicated in the plans.
Concrete hollow blocks shall be laid, and the cells filled with cement mortar
consisting of 1 part Portland cement and 3 parts sand in volume, they shall be
reinforced with 10mm diameter deformed steel bars spaced not more than 600mm
on center both ways.

All exposed surfaces of the concrete hollow block walls shall be cement
plaster finish as indicated in the plans. The mixture of cement plaster for concrete
hollow block wall finishes shall be 1 part cement, 1 part lime, and 3 parts sand.

FLOOR FINISHES
The materials to be use as floor finishes for the building shall be as follows:
Living Area - Ceramic Floor Tiles (Unglazed)
Dining Area - Ceramic Floor Tiles (Unglazed)
Kitchen - Ceramic Floor Tiles (Unglazed)
Bedrooms - Ceramic Floor Tiles (Unglazed)
Toilet & Bath - Ceramic Floor Tiles (Unglazed)

All tiles for floor, walls and mouldings shall be free from separated edges,
chipped off corners and other defects which would adversely affect their
appearance and strength. All joints between tiles and mouldings shall be filled with
tile grout and carefully wiped.

Before tiles and mouldings are laid in place, they shall be thoroughly soaked
in water. Mortar to be used in setting the tiles shall be a mixture of 1 part of cement
only.

ROOFING
The roof to be used shall be GA#26 Pre-painted Galvanized Aluminum Long
Span Sheets of any desired design, color and brand type. The material to be used
for installation of roofing shall be 2 to 3 long self drilling screw for every
Corrugation, Rib and Wave.

For Bended sheets like Gutters, ridge rolls. Valley rolls and flashings joinery
shall be correctly fitted with 5/32 diameter blind rivets and all connections shall be
protected with silicone rubber sealant for water proofing.

All surfaces and parts of the roofing sheets that has been scratched and
damaged during the installation shall also be painted with on the spot aerosol spray
paint. The entire roofing shall be cleaned after the installation is finished.
