NOTICE

The following clarification is issued in respect to UGC (Minimum Standards and

Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2016 :

"lt is clarified that lnstitutions/Colleges who consent to appoint Co-

Supervisor from outside the DepartnenilFaculty/College/lnstitution
because of the fact that topics are of inter-disciplinary nature and
they feel that the expeftise has to be supplemented from outside, the
University/Coilege/lnstitution may do so provided that the terms and
conditions are specified by the Research Advisory Committee.

It is furTher clarified that the Superuisor has to be from amongst the

regular faculty of the host Univercity/College/lnstitution and onty Co-
Superuisor can be appointed from oubide the llniversity/College/
lnstitution.
