Water pollution occurs when pollutants which are chemicals or substances that
make water contaminated are released directly or indirectly into water bodies without
enough treatment. Pollutants get into water mainly by human causes or human factors.
Water pollution is the second most serious environmental concern along with air pollution.

Water pollution affects drinking water, rivers, lakes and oceans all over the world.
This is dangerous since water covers over 70% of the earth surface. It is a very important
resource for people and environment. In many developing countries, it is usually a leading
cause of death. This happens because people drink water from polluted water source.

In addition, water pollution affects not only the individual living spaces but also
populations and the entire ecosystems that exist in the waters. Humans have now realized
the importance of clean water as a foundation for life. Recently, various organizations are
working hard to educate, protest, restore waterways and encourage practices that help keep
