Evolionprovideshighcyclingcapabilityforoffgridhybridpowersystems
SafthasbuiltonitswellprovenmaintenancefreeLiiontechnologytocreatetheEvolionconceptthatoffersa
unique combination of long cycling life, deep cycling capability, fast charging, high charge efficiency and high
energy density, while also being totally maintenancefree. The result isan innovative 48V batterymodule that
offers interesting new possibilities for the creation of compact, safe and reliable backup systems for offgrid
hybridpowerinstallations.

Inatypicalhybridpowerscheme,theEvolionbatterysystemoperatesinconjunctionwithdieselgenerators,as
well as possibly PV and/or wind power, to ensure continuity of electrical power for an offgrid site. The
exceptionalreliabilityprovidedbyEvolioncansignificantlyreducethecapitalcostofahybridschemebyenabling
operationwithasinglegenset,ratherthanthetraditionaldualredundantapproach.Itwillalsosavefuelcostsand
maintenancecostsbyreducingthegensetruntime.AfurtheradvantageoftheLiionbatteriesisthattheydonot
requireanairconditioningunitastheyarecapableofoperatingforextendedperiodsatelevatedtemperatures.
Thisbothreducesthesystemcomplexityandincreasesitsenergyefficiency.

Evolion offers a high calendar life on float charge as well as a long cycle life, is tolerant to a wide range of
temperaturesandcanoperatefrom40Cto+75C

IntensiumFlexLiionsystemsreadytoplugandplayforUPS
