Green Valley Enterprises Receives $2,650

AT&T Award to Support Life Academy Program
Program Helps Special Needs Students Develop Employment Skills

BEAVER DAM, Monday, July 24, 2017 Green Valley Enterprises received a $2,650 AT&T Innovation Award
today to support its Life Academy program in Beaver Dam.

The Life Academy program helps special needs students develop employment skills and become more informed
about individual life and career choices.

We are excited to receive this AT&T donation to support our Life Academy program, said Brian Jacobson,
Executive Director of Green Valley Enterprises. This donation will support our efforts to help those students with
different abilities develop the skills and education they need to secure and retain jobs in the workforce.

In addition to learning employment skills, students in the Life Academy program also benefit from a vocational
and independent living based curriculum taught by licensed professionals. Students are encouraged to become
self-directed learners by making sure they have the basic skills they need to be successful upon graduation.

Since 2016, AT&T has given $6,150 to support the Life Academy, including todays donation.

Young people with diverse needs and their parents rely greatly on the work of Green Valley Enterprises as they
work toward living independent lives, said Scott T. VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin. Green Valley
Enterprises is a shining example of a Wisconsin organization focused on its mission, and AT&T is proud to once
again offer our support to bring students these important learning tools.

For over 40 years, Green Valley Enterprises has been helping area individuals with special needs, and their
families, achieve maximum potential and independence through an array of services, including employment
programs.
The Life Academy program is making a difference by helping young people with diverse needs transition into
becoming adults, said State Representative Mark Born. I admire the important work that the team at Green
Valley Enterprises is doing to help them, and appreciate the great support to the Life Academy program from
AT&T.
