ABSTRACT
Learning result is still used as the standard of student competence in the
knowledge area. The motivation can determine the right and the wrong on its part to reach the final goals. The less of motivation will bring the difficulty on reaching the success of learning. The learning activities are all activity which is done in all process of interaction to reach the purpose of learning result. This study aims to know the correlation between learning motivation and class activities with learning result (achievement index) on grade I of D-III midwifery student at University of Batam. This type of study was an analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population was the student of D-III Midwifery on grade I at University of Batam. The total samples are 39 respondents. The data was taken by total sampling technique. This research was conducted on May to July 2016 at university of Batam. The method used questioner. The data was analyzed by using Bivariat and Univariat analysis. The result show that 24 respondents (54,5%) have high motivation on learning activity and 13 respondents (33,3%) have satisfying learning result. The result by using chi- square demonstrate p-value = 0,02 <0,05 so there is correlation between learning motivation with learning result. From the activities result indicates there are 23 respondent (59%) have good activities and 12 respondents (30,8%) have very satisfying result. From this, p-value = 0,07 <0,05 so there is no correlation between learning activity with learning result. The suggestion toward student to be more improve the learning activities on learning process whether in a class or at home to get good result.
