2nd NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Officers Meeting (Phase 1)

2017-001: Approval for the time the 1st Phase of the Meeting will end.
Voted: To end the 1st Phase of the 2nd NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Committee Meeting by 9:00
p.m.

2017-002: Approval of the sequence of the Meetings Agenda


Voted: To have the sequence of the Meetings Agenda as, as follows:
1. Updates from each district and each districts plan for the approved Bible Study Training
(BST) Program. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-005)
2. Updates on each Districts Liquidation Reports.
3. Concern over the Unified I.D. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-021)
4. Officers Conventions Special Editing Committees Updates
5. Renzon Teros Letter (This was later disregarded due to the absence of the said letter)
6. Discussion about MAS-AMiCUS Convention 2017
7. Other Matters

District Updates

A. Updates from Marawi City District (MCD):


i. Marawi City Districts New Set of Officers were being elected. The Induction Ceremony
for the Officers is still to be worked out.

ii. Ongoing activities are currently taking place in the district. To prevent possible conflict of
upcoming district activities, there is a plan are plans of integrating all the districts activities
with that of campus church and the supporting SDA Ministries in the MCD territory. Formatted: Not Highlight

B. Updates from Iligan City District (ICD):


i. District Activities being conducted have been successful. Activities such as:
a. ICD Officers Dedicatory Ceremony
b. MSU-IIT Chapters Election of Officers.
c. Sundown Devotional Meetings
d. Fundraising for a former MAS-AMiCUS ICD Adviser who just passed away.
e. Many others

C. Updates from West Misamis Oriental District (WMOD):


i. Activities for enriching old MAS-AMiCUS Members have been successful. Eight (8)
new members were added to the district.
ii. Revival Meetings are going on.
iii. The District was unable to elect a new set of officers due to some circumstances.

D. Updates from Cagayan de Oro District (CDOCD):


i. i. Mary Grace Apdian (MGA) has conflict over handled offices in the MAS-AMiCUS Formatted: Normal, Indent: Left: 0.88", No bullets or
being the NCMC Head for BUFISCom and at the same time, CDOCDs Secretary.Mary numbering
Grace Apdian had some challenges on becoming the NCMC BUFISCOM Head from being Formatted: Not Highlight
the elected Secretary of CDOCD. (AZ, dear niaccept naman siya as BUFISCOM)

ii. ii. The letter of office withdrawal written by Renzon Tero, the supposed CDOCD Formatted: Font: (Default) Times New Roman
President, is still unavailable. In his absent, Queth Bragas will serve as the CDOCD
President.
iii. The programs of the District such as the Fellowship gatherings, devotional meetings,
serenading and tract-giving activities have been successful

E. Updates from North Bukidnon District (NBD):


i. There were MAS AMiCUS activities conducted at North Bukidnon Community College
and Manolo Chapter. Future programs are being considered for the aforementioned
chapters too.

ii. Activities such as MAS Dasig, Year-end Thanksgiving Program, etc., have been
successful.

F. Updates from South Bukidnon District (SBD):


i. The activities successfully conducted by the District are as follows:
a. Philippine Countryville College Chapters (PCC) Sportsfest which was participated by
5 Chapters. The chapter also supported a Revelation Seminar conducted by Pr. Flores.
b. Central Mindanao University (CMU) Chapters Blood-letting program which yielded
to 154 blood bags being collected. The Chapter also assisted an Evangelistic Crusade
conducted inside the campus, which resulted to the baptism of 9 precious souls.
c. Devotional Meetings have been made by the Don Carlos Polytechnic College Chapter
(DCPCC), and so with other chapters.
d. Serenading and Gift-giving to indigenous people were also accomplished by the
Quezon Institute of Technology (QIT) Chapter.

ii. A District-wide Acceptance Ceremony shall take place on the 24 th of February this year.
iii. Plans on formally organizing a High School Chapter and a MAS-AMiCUS Camping
proposal has been also considered by the District.

G. Updates from East Misamis Oriental District (EMOD):


i. The District is on its stage of recovering after being inactive.

2017-003: Bro. Evarcris Clois Jovyn Jimenez (ECJJ) remarks on Students Transfer of Church
Membership and High School Chapters
Noted: That ALL Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Students currently residing staying away from their
home should be encouraged to transfer their church membership to the nearest SDA
Church where they are residing staying. This remark is in accordance to the SDA Church
policy. AO remarked suggested that securing a Recommendation Letter from a Pastor or
Church Elder is advisable. This is in case of difficulty in acquiring a certificate of church
membership.

2017-004: Bro. Jimenez financial pledge for Meeting Minutes printing.


Noted: That Bro. ECJJ pledged to give for Php. 100.00 every meeting for the printing of Meeting
Minutes.

2017-005: Motion to turn-over the Php. 1,000.00 fund to the NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Treasurer.

Moved: That the amount of Php. 1,000.00 fund will be given to Jeffer Dave F. Cagubcob (JDC) , the
NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Treasurer.

2nd NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Officers Meeting (Phase 2)

2017-006: Motion to change the Meeting Agendas Sequence Sequence of the Meetings Agenda.
Moved: That the sequence of the Meeting Agendas sequence be changed. The new sequence is as follows:

1. Updates from Vice Presidents on Bible Study Training (BST) Program for Seventh-day
Adventists. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-005)
2. Updates on each Districts Liquidation Reports.
3. Concern over the Unified I.D. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-021)
4. Officers Conventions Special Editing Committees Updates
5. Vice President CDOCD Renzon Teros Letter (This was later disregarded due to the
absence of the said letter)
6. Other Matters

(Due to some inevitable occurrences, the agreed sequence of Agenda #1 and Agenda #2 was interchanged.
This is also as to make use of time. No motions were made for the change.)

1. Updates on each Districts Liquidation Reports.

A. SBD- No liquidation reports presented due to the conflicting schedules of the responsible
persons responsible persons for the making of liquidation reports.

B. NBD- No liquidation reports due to the Districts treasurers unsettled concerns about its format
and procedure.

C. CDOCD- The former CDOCD President was unable to turn-over papers/records to the present
administration. Thus, this explains the Districts inability to provide a report about the Districts
liquidation.

D. WMOD- Due to the Districts current situation, there is no available liquidation reports. However,
it is anticipated to be worked on after the Districts Revival Meetings.

E. ICD-The District, at present, has no liquidation report. It has no current Income Generation project
too.

F. EMOD-No liquidation report yet having uninformed about registration fees.

2017-007: NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Committees response to the relayed request (informal/
verbal) in regards to Central Mindanao University (CMU) Chapters semestral dues.

Noted: That the request of CMU Chapter about their Chapters semestral due and their responsibility
to remit to the District shall be referred to the NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Constitution and By-
Laws (CBL) 2014 Revised Edition. This means that they are expected to abide to the general
provisions stipulated on the CBLs Article 13 Section 5. This states that every chapter shall
remit a semestral due of 15% of its total income to the district.

2. Updates from Vice Presidents on Bible Study Training (BST) Program for Seventh-day
Adventists. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-005)

A. SBD- The Bible Study Training (BST) Program for SDAs was approved by the District. However,
they are still waiting on the materials that will be given by the Religious Committee Head before
taking further actions. The SBD shall report on further updates in regard to this matter after the
District Officers Meeting.

Noted: That a suggestion was raised by Abigail S. Remo (AR), Publication Officer, that a BST Program
Proposal Format shall be provided. This idea was being addressed to Benedicto Q. dela Vega Jr.
(BDV), Religious Com. Head.

In response to this suggestion, BDV relayed that a BST Program Format will be made. He also
mentioned that it is a districts prerogative to choose the Programs speaker and other strategies
to be considered. However, materials for the program will be provided by BDV.

B. NBD- There were concerns raised in regards to the BST Program. A suggestion was considered to
have all the districts be unified, unvaried, and rather, similar in the manner of program
implementation. This is to prevent all the districts in having needless differences in program
outcomes.

C. CDOCD- The District has no program format at present, yet positively considering actions in regards
to this activity. Some of the CDOCD MAS-AMiCUS members have participated the recent NCMC
Comprehensive Bible Study Training (CBST) Program. Having such, this will be of advantage to
the district.

D. WMOD- Due to unresolved concerns in the District, at present, there are no updates in regard to the
BST Program.

E. ICD-The District have no program proposal at present.

F. EMOD-The BST Program was already relayed to Pr. Conol for advice. Due to the Districts current
condition, he recommended that the Districts stability be first prioritized. This counsel was taken
into consideration.

2017-008: Approval for the Districts prerogative on Students Week of Prayer


Voted: To give the prerogative to the District to decide whether it shall be a District-wide or Chapters
Students Week of Prayer that they will be conducting.

2017-009: Approval of Bro. ECJ Jimenez program proposals.


Voted: To approve the program proposals presented by Bro. ECCJ. However, they shall still be under
the prerogative of the District for implementation.

Noted: The following are the programs presented:

1. Love, Courtship and Marriage Seminar and the 3 Angels Message.


The This is proposed programss speaker is Dr. Arman Adanas. To refrain from schedule
conflicts, there is a need of he needs to be asked asking him about his schedule for further
program arrangements. There is also a suggestion from the Publication Officer that the
materials will be checked prior to any actual seminars.

2. Student Week of Prayer (SWOP)


This program was suggested to be conducted twice a year or once every academic
year/semester. This The two annual SWOP shall be held conducted in such a manner that
all the speakers one SWOP shall be withwill be students as speakers and and the other
with an invited speaker, interchangeably. This considerations shall be under the decision
of the District. (Refer to Series 2017-008 found on the page before this.)

3. Integrated Evangelistic Lifestyle (IEL)

4. Evangelistic Series
This shall be conducted per District. The IEL application in every District activity will
serve as a groundwork before the Evangelistic Series. Materials and resources for the
IEL shall be coming from the NCMC.

5. Prayer Family Circle (PFC)

Noted: ALL these programs are under the Districts prerogative as approved by the body. (Series 2017-
009)

Noted: That Bro. ECJJ raised the idea of making a program for the MAS-AMiCUS in Hope Channel
(Cagayan de Oro).

2017-010: Changes regarding the Unified I.D. (Refer to the 1st ExeCom Meeting Series 2016-021)
Noted: That the CMU I.D. Lay-out cannot be implemented for the whole NCMC due to its
specifications which are applicable only to the CMU Chapter. For such reasons, AR and AE
will make the NCMC I.D. Lay-out, respectively. It was also noted that the CMU Chapter Lay-
out Artists are willing to help but would need the NCMCs format.

2017-011: Officers Conventions Special Editing Committees Updates


Noted: That proposals have been scanned and have been progressively worked out.

2017-012: Vice President CDOCD Renzon Teros Letter

Noted: That this was laid on the table and was not further discussed due to the absence of the said
letter.

2017-013: MAS-AMiCUS Convention for 2017 Agenda


Moved: That the discussion for the MAS-AMiCUS Convention for 2017 be laid-on-the-table.

Noted: That it was suggested by ECJJ that there shall be alternation of Conventions to be conducted. It
will be either a MAS-AMiCUS Officers Convention or an NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Convention.
This shall be conducted interchangeably.

Noted: That in order to prepare for the next meetings discussion about the pursuance of the MAS-
AMiCUS conventions, the Executive Committee members shall read about Camp Meetings
by Ellen G. White.

2017-014: Motion for MAS-AMiCUS Convention 2017 Survey Form.


Moved: That AR shall make a MAS-AMiCUS Convention Survey Form to evaluate the needs and wants
of the District Members in regards to the proposed event.

2017-015: Disapproval of application of Mountain View College Chapter.


Voted: That the application of the Mountain View College Chapter to be formally accepted as a Chapter
under SBD will be denied.

As stipulated in Article 12 Section 6B of the NCMC MAS-AMiCUS CBL 2014 Revised Edition,
a newly organized Chapter . . . must comprise of at least 15 members. Comprising only 5
members, MVC Chapter, therefore, have failed to meet this requirement, thus resulting to the
denial of their application.

Noted: That in connection to this, an Official Statement shall be prepared by the NCMC Secretary which
shall be addressed to the MVC Chapter.

2017-016: Concerns for EMODs Training Program Passbook


Moved: That AR shall be assisting SMD in regards to EMODs Training Program Passbook.

2017-017: Action for electing a Vice President/ Officer-in-Charge for WMOD


Moved: That due to Alcher S. Baricuatros (AB) state of being stopped momentarily from studying, an
OIC shall be elected to temporarily hold his vacated position. This action is in accordance to the
General provisions of Article 13 Section 16 of the NCMC MAS-AMiCUS CBL 2014 Revised
Edition.

However, the same provision states that he (AB), being an officer, shall be brought back to (his)
original position as long as his studies are resumed.

2017-018: MAS-AMiCUS Promotional/Informational Video


Noted: That the suggestion of making a Promotional/ Informational Video that will define the MAS-
AMiCUS, will be laid-on-the-table and be further discussed on the next meeting.

2017-019: Travel Music Ministry (TMM) Sequence of Sponsors


Noted: That the sequence of sponsors for the next TMM will be as follows:

1. North Bukidnon District


2. Marawi City District
3. West Misamis Oriental District
4. Cagayan de Oro City District
5. South Bukidnon District
6. East Misamis Oriental District

Noted: That the means for the printing of the Song lyrics shall be referred to Bro. ECJJ, while KC will
be responsible for the bookmarks.

2017-020: Christ our Righteousness by Daniels and Faith and Works by Ellen G. White.
Noted: That the study materials, Christ our Righteousness by Daniels and Faith and Works by
Ellen G. White, shall be made as references for the continual study of the NCMC MAS-
AMiCUS theme for 2017, Ye are in Christ.

2017-021: Assistance for the Liaison Officers duty


Noted: That KC and AB shall be assisting CJS for the posting and disseminating of information in
connection to her Liaison Office.

2017-022: NCMC Ancillary Advisers


Noted: That the agenda of electing the NCMC Ancillary Advisers be moved on the next meeting. This
is to first inquire the possible nominees if it will be amenable to them to be nominated and
elected.

2017-023: Approval of the next 3rd NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Committee Meetings date.
Voted: To have the next meeting on the 25th-26th of February. This shall be held at Gingoog City
District, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.

2017-024: Bro. ECJJs Remarks


Noted: That Bro. ECJJ, extended his willingness to be invited in the Districts activities. He remarked
that in order to prevent schedule conflicts, a booking or engagement shall be first agreed with
him. Furthermore, it was agreed that the District which will host the activity in which he shall
be invited shall be responsible for Bro. ECJJs stay and accommodation.

2017-025: Approval of the Reading of the 1st NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Meeting Minutes
Moved: To have the 2nd NCMC MAS-AMiCUS Executive Meeting Minutes read by the Committee
Secretary, Az Grace M. Duran (AGD).
