To Whom It May Concern:

It is a true privilege to compose this letter of recommendation for Miss Danielle Effre, University of
Georgia school counseling intern at Atha Road Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year. Miss Effre
has been a responsible and dependable school counseling intern, showing dedication and pride in her work at
our school. I have enjoyed being involved with her training as her site supervisor.

Miss Effre has offered many skills, ideas, and support to our students. She has the ability to build
attachments with students and they have enjoyed the time they have spent with her individually, in group
sessions, or in the classroom. She has a calm demeanor and this allows many students to feel safe with her
emotionally. She is trustworthy and the students respond to this characteristic. She builds rapport well with the
students and offers sincerity to the students as she and the students work in building skills to help the students
be more successful at school and in life.

During the school year, Miss Effre did use data to help our school. She did initiate building on the
attendance program. She developed a thorough data driven plan to increase attendance and focused on chronic
attendance issues. She presented to the attendance team a thorough analysis of the attendance data, identified
the target group of students, and developed ideas to promote positive attendance at school. She implemented
the program with the support of administration and the attendance team.

Throughout the school year, she was involved in many activities related to the role of school
counselor. She made growth throughout the year and by second semester, she was responsible for the core
curriculum classroom lessons presented to 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes totaling 18 classroom visits per month.
Topics were geared toward test taking skills, career lessons, or monthly character education words.
Additionally, she was involved in most of the groups throughout the year. She developed and led a girls
friendship group where she included data to show the growth of the girls throughout the sessions. She has
worked in close collaboration with staff and followed policy and practice in the field.

In closing, I would recommend Danielle Effre to your organization as a school counselor. She has
many strengths a school would benefit in having including her attention to detail, her caring nature toward
students, and her ability to use data to create a comprehensive school counseling program. Please contact me
for any further information you might need.

Sincerely,

Tina Reasey, Ed.D., LPC
