Experiment/Procedure
Students will sit with their science groups. Each table is
labeled with a group number and a task for each person.
Each group will have one bowl of water and 1 baggie of M&Ms.
(Do Not Eat The M&Ms! If you are on your best behavior
you will get a packet of M&Ms to eat when the experiment
is over)
When the teacher counts to three, the student from each
group that is behaving the best will place all three of the M&Ms
in the water at once (M&M symbol facing up in the water)

Look at the front of the plastic bag on your tables.
Each table has a plastic bag with your group number,
your names, and what task you have to complete. Some
of the students will have to create a bar graph to show
how long it took each color M&M to dissolve. Other
students will draw their observations of the M&M in
water and have a written description for each
illustration. One student from each group will observe
the results of the graph and drawings to present to
the class.
