I am highly interested in the Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital Pediatric RN Residency program. I was
made aware of this program after searching for job opportunities at Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital.
I am eager to be a part of the team. I will be graduating from the University of South Florida College of
Nursing (USFCON) on August 5th of this year and I plan to take my NCLEX in September of this year. Prior
to attending nursing school, I had two years of direct patient care experience while working as a Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA) at an assisted living facility, and volunteering at different healthcare facilities. In
addition to my experiences, I am convinced that the high-quality learning environment at the University
of South Florida College of Nursing, combined with my skills and motivation are an excellent match.

Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospitals philosophy of family-centered care is something I value. I agree
that it is important to include family when making healthcare decisions and I also agree that children who
are old enough should take part in making decisions that affect their health. Additionally, Johns Hopkins
All Childrens Hospitals mission to achieve the best patient outcomes possible, using a team of expert
medical staff and employees, is very appealing. As a highly-motivated individual, patient advocate, team
player, and effective communicator, my values mirror those of Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital. Most
importantly, it is my love for children that have drawn me to this hospital.
In addition to my nursing skills, I will bring strong leadership and organizational skills to Johns Hopkins All
Childrens Hospital. Working as a CNA, while maintaining above average grades in school, and holding
leadership positions, including, class secretary in nursing school, clearly demonstrate my ability to
manage multiple tasks. Additionally, my clinical instructors would always commend me on my leadership
and organizational skills, my motivation to learn, and my ability to perform quality patient care.
