How Fast Time Flies

Learning Priority: They know that they have a
place, feel a sense of belonging

Masha Allah, how time flies so fast. It has been

a year since you came to Annur. I could see a lot
of achievements and improvements that you
have gain throughout this year. It started off
when you first came to Annur in June 2016. You
were crying, feeling confused and scared. But
along the way you have learn to be brave and
tackle any challenges ahead of you. These are a
few challenges that youve managed to
overcome:

- Language barrier
You came with only knowing a few words in
English. Most of the teacher are non-Arabic
speakers, hard for you to communicate. Using
gesture and body language to communicate. But as time goes by, your communication skill
has improved. Now you can converse in English and able to translate other children who speak
Arabic into English. Masha Allah what a smart little boy you are.

- Exploring the unfamiliar world

Throughout this year, you have been spending a lot of time trying to make sense of this world and
how things work by doing a lot of exploring, inventing and experimenting.

- Contribution.

You have contributed a lot during your time at Annur. Youve

been treating others fairly and include them in your play. Youve
used a range of strategies and skills to play and learn with other
children. You have been a great help with settling the other
Syrian children by making them feel safe and at home too.

InsyaAllah, you will learn more skills and tackle more challenges
in the future. Abu Sa`id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with them) reported that the Prophet (peace and
blessings be upon him) said,

No fatigue, nor disease, nor anxiety, nor sadness, nor hurt,

nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he
receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins
for that (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
