Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan is an 1898
novella written by Morgan Robertson. The story
features the ocean liner Titan, which sinks in the
North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The Titan
and its sinking have been noted to be very
similar to the real-life passenger ship RMS
Titanic, which sank fourteen years later.
Following the wreck the novel was reissued with
some changes, particularly in the ship's gross
tonnage.

There exists another myth. This is the legend of the Princess of X, Ratnavati. She
is believed to be the jewel of Rajasthan. On her eighteenth birthday she began to
get offers of marriage from other regions (i.e. nobility). In the area lived a tantrik, a
magician well versed in the occult, called Singhia, who was in love with the
princess but knew that the match was impossible. One day Singhia saw the
princess's maid in the market, he used his black magic on the oil she was
purchasing so that upon touching it the princess would surrender herself to him.
The princess, however, seeing the tantric enchanting the oil, foiled his plan by
pouring it on the ground. As the oil struck the ground it turned into a boulder, which
crushed Singhia. Dying, the tantrik cursed the palace with the death of all who
dwelt in it.The next year there was a battle in which Princess Ratnavati perished.
Legends says that there are ghosts in X and that is why entry is prohibited for
tourists in the fort after sunset and before sunrise. The locals believe that the
princess Ratnavati has taken birth somewhere else and that the fort and the empire
of X is waiting for her return to put an end to the curse.

Juroon is an important pre-wedding ceremony native to the Indian
state of Assam. During this ceremony the grooms mother gifts the
bride with lots of presents. This ceremony is an exclusive women
affair, though some men may be present.
A special canopy structure, called morol, is built for the occasion
using banana or mango leaves. On the day of the ceremony, the
grooms mother along with other female relatives visits the brides
home. They are greeted by the brides mother, following which they
are lead to the morol. The bride is summoned and asked to sit in front
of the morol. She is gifted with presents by her future mother-in-law

can defeat him.No one was able to defeat him. When he came to Maharashtra to
Peshwa(Bajirao II) and challenged him the same way. Mr. Balambhatdada
Deodhar accepted the challenge. He was a devotee of Lord Hanumana a god of
physical fitness, devotion, celibacy, morality, intelligence and sacrifice.Mr.
Deodhar went to jungle and prayed Lord Hanumana for months. Lord Hanumana
resurrected in front of him and taught him wresteling to defeat the Arab wresteler
and to build the physique, stamina, concentration and quickness of movements,
Lord Hanumana taught him the X fitness regime.Then Balambhatdada Deodhar
defeated the Arab wresteler and it became famous. It is a famous sport in
Maharashtra and other states of India too.
