Results and Analysis
Image Classification:
- Maximum likelihood classifier is used to classify the intensity data of:
1) each channel separately. and
2) all combined.
3) a DSM band is used with combined three intensity bands.

- 200 random checkpoints distributed overall the study area were used for
classification assessment.

- The images were classified to six classes:

- Buildings (Brown color)

- Trees (Dark Green color)
- Roads (Gray color)
- Grass (green color)
- Soil (Beige color)
-Water (Blue color)

Discussion

1) Estimated size of airborne Lidar market in India

2) Key prospective customers to target in 2016-2017.
a) Who owns aerial cameras, satellites, etc
b) Who buys the imagery and other data products
generated from this equip.
3) Need to define specific applications prospects can
benefit from by adopting airborne Lidar to enhance
their geospatial data collection work.
4) Need to research and inquire about the remote sensing
technologies currently in use (aerial photo, satellite, etc):
a) Which geographic areas are being mapped
b) What total area is per year
c) Data quality accuracy, resolution, spectrum, 3D or 2D
d) Value of these projects
e) What are the average # of days that system cannot be used due
to bad weather

Discussion Cont

5) Trade shows
a) Identify and recommend trade shows
b) Coordinate and schedule meetings with
existing and prospective clients.

6) Product Demos
a) Engage highly qualified prospects to discuss
demos if identified as important to win a sale.
b) Invite prospects to host them in Toronto for
demo, or if not practical to perform on-site.

7) Past experience dealing with foreign manufacturers

and any expectations / requirements for airborne
Lidar provider
