Introduction

Barwa Financial District 387 keys Hotel is a five star hotel and will be operated by Shaza Hotel Group.

Hotel will have full size laundry that will process:

All Hotel Room Linen

Staff Uniforms
Food and Beverage Linen
Guests Laundry
Large number of articles from Spa and Hamah operation.

Laundry Location:

Laundry is located on the Ground Floor.

Soiled linen will be delivered via linen chute, which terminates on the ground floor in the linen
collection room. Collected linen will be delivered in soiled linen trucks to soiled linen sorting area
located within Laundry facilities.

Laundry Equipment Overview:

Laundry equipment is selected based on estimated Laundry load generated on daily base and
availability of after service sale and spare parts in state of Qatar and Middle East Region.

Due to the limited soiled linen staging facilities we proposed that Laundry operates seven (7) days a
week.

Flatwork ironer will be three roll type and 80 cm diameter each roll, due to quality of linen used in this
high-end Hotel.

Dry cleaning operation is provided for guest laundry and uniforms that would require dry cleaning.

Laundry calculations:

As per Section 4 of General Laundry Calculation Method, luxury hotel will generate 15 kg. of soiled
linen per room per day (This load of 15 kg includes rooms, foodservice, pool, large Banquet
Facilities).

Due to the extensive Banquet operation and Spa/Hammam Facilities we recommend using 16 kg. per
day per room, for calculating daily laundry load.

We anticipated the occupancy rate will be 80% and over in which case 20% diversity factor will be
applicable to the estimated daily laundry load.

Laundry will operate 7 days a week and one (1) eight (8) hour shift a day.

Washing Load

Washing Load is based on 16 kg of Laundry per room per day.

Drying Load

Total drying load would be equal to washing load.

Flatwork Ironer will process 60% of total drying load (Bed linen and large pieces).

Dryers will process 40% of total drying load (Towels and balance of the linen).

Energy-Efficient
Design
UniMac has achieved
a perfect balance between
drying temperature, airflow
pattern and useable cylinder
space to provide maximum
energy efficiency while thoroughly
drying linens. Our special equipment
design pulls air through linens at the
precise point where they fall freely to the
bottom of the cylinder during the tumbling process.
This enables linens to dry quickly and evenly which can
shorten overall drying time thereby reducing utility and

door open direction and customize the
optimum workflow for your laundry.
Combined with our large door opening
for ease of loading and unloading, you
can count on Unimac drying tumblers to

ing costs. Constructed of high-grade steel,
Unimacs heavy-duty door and hinges will
stand up to the toughest laundry conditions, time
and time again. In addition, our circular door glass is
sealed with a 7/8 rubber gasket to secure it in place
while providing greater strength and rigidity.

Our C.A.R.E. drying tumblers
provide some peace of mind in the
unlikely event of a laundry fire within
the cylinder. This feature senses for
an abnormally high temperature within
the cylinder of the dryer. If a laundry fire
should start within the cylinder, water is
sprayed on the linens from a multi-port
manifold to saturate the load. If the
system is activated, a warning signal
can be sent to a remote location. The
externally mounted C.A.R.E. system
features multiple sensors and two water
valves to assure accurate performance.

Self-Cleaning Lint Filter
UniMacs fine mesh lint screen cleans itself automatically
by depositing lint into a large storage area for easy
removal. This eliminates the need to manually clean filter
after each use.

JUDI II Tensioning Form Finisher

The JUDI II tensioning form finisher offers todays dry cleaners a method
of finishing, to improve quality with minimal operator training or
experience required. The TFF JUDI II combines the standard steam air
form with a tensioning system to create optimum versatility in providing
the highest standard of pressing quality available in the 21st century.

The JUDI II is designed to finish a wide range of garments including

jackets, blouses, coats, sweaters, and all outerwear. It utilizes a
microprocessor to control the steam, steam/air, and air cycles. The height
of each garment is automatically controlled by a photocell, which ensures
the proper positioning of the garment regardless of its length. Manual
override controls allow the operator the flexibility of utilizing both front
and rear clamps and side expanders as required.

Ten distinct programs offer a selection of finishing for various types of

garments and fabrics. The microprocessor is user-friendly and all programs
can be modified to satisfy individual finishing requirements. Training new,
unskilled employees requires minimal time, with the highest quality being
achieved within a few hours.
