Project Title:
The title summarizes the main idea of your study. This should be short, sharp, clear, specific and describe what
your research is about. A good title contains the fewest possible words with at least 10-15 words. For example:
Extensions of terminal area optical processing for automated image analysis and multi-spectral image fusion.
Research objective is a concrete statement describing what the research is trying to achieve. Objectives must
always be set after having formulated a good research question. After all, they are to explain the way in which such
question is going to be answered. Objectives are usually headed by infinitive/action verbs such as: To identify; To
establish; To describe; To determine; To estimate; To develop; To compare; To analyze;
A well-worded objective will be SMART, i.e Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, & Time-bound. It is a
purpose that can be reasonably achieved within the expected timeframe & with the available resources.

Scope of Research
Scope of research explains how the problems in a field of study are going to be measured. There may be many
problems in the area of a particular topic. However, your research is confined to solve may be one or two of these
problems. The scope should be focused on the proposed solution to that problem with a unique approach
(methodology). The topic background, problem background and solution background constitute the scope of your
research. In other words, scope of research is the simplified methodology of your research.
