String 5-01-01 &
String 5-01-02
PLANT: ANDES TIME OF INCIDENT: 08:00
INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
1) The pyranometer which is at String 5-01-02 is connected through NetLink. And Pyranometer at String 5-01-
01 is connected through Modbus RTU having configuration setting Baud rate 19200, Parity Even,
Modbus ID 1 at controller port COM1 (RS-232 Port).
1. Work order CMMS ## has opened in the Inaccess ticket management and Computerized Maintenance
Management System (CMMS).
1) Pyranometer is connected to the Controller port COM 1. So, check the port cable is properly connected and
follow that serial cable till device end (Which would be EX 9520) and fin the corresponding module.dentify
2) Check the power LED of the above confirmed EX 9520 device, which should be red and confirm the power is on.
4) Voltage between DATA+ and DATA- terminal pins should be around 5V. (When cables that come from filed
are not connected from the from the terminal block)
5) Reboot the module if expected voltage is not near to 5V between Data+ & Data-. (Just remove the green
terminal block at the bottom part of the module, leave it disconnected for almost 10 sec and then connect it back)..
6) Check the cables of the pyranometer which come from field should be properly connected to the bus of the device
EX 9520.
7) Voltage between black and white wires of the pyranometer should be around 24 VDC (while you take the
measurement the wires should be connected at the connection strip). If not, you should check the power supply unit
and the continuity on the wires. Please note that usually the power supply unit is located inside the Inaccess Rack.
7.1) In case there is no resistance connected at the bus, the expected voltage between yellow and grey wires of the
pyranometer is around 5 VDC (while you take the measurement the wires should be connected at the connection
strip). If a resistance is connected at the bus, the expected voltage between yellow and grey wires of the pyranometer
is around 0.2 VDC - 0.3 VDC.
