OFF: While somebody is building up a lot, someone has just started - in an area where the
construction of any object is prohibited by law. In the olive grove in Valdanos, the so-called
heart of Ulcinj, these days are growing new buildings.

OFF: The application of the Law on the legalization of the illegal construction has been
postponed for five months, and that, says journalist, Mustafa Canka, many are using to complete
what they already started to build.

Mustafa Canka - Journalist: Building houses or any other objects in this area is a
culturocid. This is illegal, and it is outside of all rules of norms and standards.

OFF: Representatives of Ulcinj municipality today visited Valdanos. Vice president, Hatidza
Djoni says that she had seen two buildings in the olive grove under construction.

Hatidza Djoni Vice president of Ulcinj municipality: I did not see that due to any
object, the trees are cut off and the two objects that are in question are either on the road or
completely in that ... My and his information, mine and his monitoring of field absolutely do not
agree.

OFF: Vice president Djoni points out that the olive grove in Valdanos is protected and will
remain so. Clearly, it says that the builders are trying to build it in a hurry. Therefore, the local
government, in cooperation with the state services, will try to stop the illegal construction.

Hatidza Djoni Vice president of Ulcinj municipality: Maybe we will go on some

more repressive measures in terms of declaring a moratorium on construction - what Budva did
or something else.

OFF: From the Inspection board say that they have not received any remark for illegal
construction in the olive grove. They are sure that, since it is a protected area, the building permit
does not exist. They say they'll check it out.
 Biljana Jaki Inspection board: The competent inspection will carry out inspection
supervision, and we will determine the type of construction.

OFF: Until the implementation of the law on legalization of illegal construction, illegal objects
controls the Inspection of the area protection, while the Inspection for construction is responsible
for the supervision of facilities that are not built in accordance with the issued building permit.
Journalist Canka appealed to the authorities to prevent the construction of illegal buildings, in
order to preserve the great cultural heritage of Ulcinj.

Mustafa Canka - Journalist: If I know that I lived there, I grew up happily, and that
my children can no longer enjoy this wonderful place in this way, then we are all defeated.
