The Mission of S.S.E.M.P. is to create a successful route for the youth to travel from the past and
present to the future. We will not only challenge them, but educate and guide them to be
positive decision makers, academic scholars, and successful athletes who are heavily involved in
the community. We will ultimately help facilitate the process that will shape them into successful
and responsible young adults.

WHAT TO WEAR:
Jeans: No ripped, colored, torn, holes, and sagging jeans. Also, no jean shorts.
Shirt: Any Cardinal approved spirit wear (Ex: tie-dye shirts, boosterthon class shirts, band/chorus shirt, etc.)
Shorts: May wear P.E. shorts and capris, shorts from home must be longer than an adults middle finger. Cannot
have rips, holes in them or jewels and studs on them.
Jackets and sweaters: Must be neat, tidy, and free of any offensive logos.
Shoes: Closed-toe shoes only.
Come to soccer camp at C.C.A. this summer to improve
your skills and have some fun! We will cover technical drills and tactical
practices. We will work on various soccer skills, including passing, dribbling, and
shooting. All levels are welcome!
When/Who:
SESSION #1: June 19th-22nd from 8:00am-11:00am for girls and boys who are rising 5th-8th graders for the 2017-
2018 school year
SESSION #2: July 10th-13th from 8:00am-11:00am for girls and boys who are rising 3rd-5th graders for the 2017-
2018 school year
Where: CCA Field (drop off and pick up will be in the back circle by the field)
Cost (per session): $120 ***The first 24 players for each camp to sign up and pay will be accepted.
Registration is May 8-June 12. Turn the forms and money into the C.C.A. front office. Sign-ups after June 1 will
not include a t-shirt.
What to bring: water bottle, light & healthy snack, soccer ball (if you have one already), cleats, shin guards,
sneakers/indoor soccer shoes (in case it rains)

Camp Breakdown:
Academics: Each Student will study and complete online coursework with programs such as
lexicore, thinkthroughmath.com, and reading plus.
Mentoring and Life Lessons: Each Student will learn many critical life lessons. These lessons will
include; tying a tie, creating sample resumes, and table etiquette. We will also discuss social
issues such as bullying, depression, individuality, communication skills, and anger management.
Teach: Each student will learn, in detail, about the game. They will learn the rules, positions,
field and setup, team technique, and gaining mental edge. They will also learn plays, schemes,
coverages, and obtaining sport specific IQ.
Film: Each student will learn how to view film. Students will learn how to break down film. They
will also learn opponent tendencies, viewing and correcting mistakes, creating highlight films,
and critiquing technique. In addition to this, they learn how to create game plans and scouting
reports.
During Film:
Young Students: The younger students will watch sports movies, YouTube sports shows,
and sports tv cartoons.
Older Students: The older students will watch game film, YouTube professionals, sports
movies, and film from camp.
Training: Each student will complete on field training. Students will work on their craft,
complete drills, skills challenges, and tests to better their performance. The students will also
practice plays daily. Students will also participate in cardio and fitness activities.
Compete: Each student will compete against and with other students. They will compete in
timed competitions, one on one competitions, and also team competitions. During these
competitions the score will be kept and will also be recorded.
Free Play: Each Student will use this period to have fun and participate in whatever activity they
choose. Activities available during this time will be basketball, soccer, tag, football, play on the
playground, hula hoops, or jump ropes.
Game Day: Every Friday is Game Day. On game day, each student will be split into teams. They
will get to apply what has been learned and practiced throughout the camp and compete in
scrimmages.
Field Day: On field day students will compete in many games and races. They will be split into
teams. Some races and games that the students will participate in will be an obstacle course
race, wheel barrel race, a 40-yard dash, a relay race, tug of war, ball distance toss, jump rope
contest, dance contest, and high jump.
Volunteer Day: This day is when the student take time to participate in several volunteer and
community service activities. Some of the things the students will do are, clean up the
school/classrooms, planting flowers, and trash pick-up.

Does the athlete have any allergies, chronic illness, or medical conditions? If yes, please describe.
In case of injury to said child, I hereby waive all claims against Cardinal Charter Academy,
including all coaches and affiliates, all participants, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, and, if
applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event. There is a risk of being
injured that is inherent in all sports activities, including basketball. Some of these injuries
include, but are not limited to, the risk of fractures, paralysis, or death.
Permission is hereby granted to the attending physician to proceed with any medical or minor
surgical treatment, x-ray examination and immunizations for the named athlete. In the event of
an emergency arising out of serious illness, the need for major surgery, or significant accidental
injury, I understand that every attempt will be made by the attending physician to contact me in
the most expeditious way possible. This authorization is granted only after a reasonable effort
has been made to reach me.
Permission is also granted to the Cardinal Charter Academy, and its affiliates including
Directors, Coaches, and Team Parents to provide the needed emergency treatment prior to the
childs admission to the medical facility.
