Script for Immersion

Meeting Host: Good afternoon to all of you. Please be seated and the meeting is in
order. Todays agenda will be the possibility of giving our rural hospital branches the
equal attention and supplies as our urban hospital. We propose this possibility to be
a reality.

Shareholder: Do you think we will earn profit on that? We are your shareholders
anyway and part of the companys finances were owned by us so are you sure these
finances will not be put to waste?

President: I disagree; I think its a good idea.

CEO: Ms. Furio, continue your proposal. I think this leads to something great.

Host: As I was saying, we would like to show you some of our research results from
our conducted analysis in one of the rural hospital branch in Pampanga, Ms.
(researcher) will you please discuss the results.

Researcher: As you can see, there is a huge demand for medicines, specialized
doctors and medical machines that were only offer in our Urban hospital branches,
there are also 78% of people willing to pay for it. This research was just conducted
last month thus it proves that in the current time, we shouldnt just focus on our
urban branches but also in our rural.

Shareholder: Does this means that were going to send new doctors to those rural
branches too, if ever the said proposal was put into order? Will it be too hard for
them to adjust?
President: Mind if I say something? "First do no harm", (Primum non nocere) its
part of our sworn oath when we accepted our profession not just for profit but also
because of our passion for helping people, to mend them as much as we can. How
can we do no harm when were staying here knowing that out there, in those rural
provinces, a lot of people need more professional help?

CEO: I agree with President, see, that thought here is having the guts to take risk.
Thats business. We may never know, maybe this is what our companys been
waiting for. Maybe we can probably raise our profit by taking this big step!

Shareholder: Or loose funds.Thats a possibility too.

CEO: Those in favor of Ms. Furios proposal, raise you hand.

President: Ms. Furio, I assign you to this project. I hope this will turn out as great as
your proposal.

of another are needed for a patient's recovery.

world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. Above
all, I must not play at God.
I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being,
whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility
includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.
I will prevent disease whenever I can but I will always look for a path to a cure for all
diseases.
I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow
human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.
If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered
