When I decided to run for Mayor I set out to do what too many who run for oce fail to do, and that was listen to the views of
those I plan to serve. With that goal in mind I set out to survey the residents of Lehi with the intent to hear their thoughts and
serve their needs.

Take a deep dive into feedback to beHer familiarize myself as a Mayoral candidate with the needs of the needs of the great
residents of Lehi City in an eort to ensure that my goals, aspiraBons and plaLorms are in line with what our residents
expect from their Mayor.
Present my ndings in a public fashion to educate and inform the public of my interest in their views and opinions as well as
provide a forum for which we as residents of Lehi can see the concerns of our neighbors.

What Should A Successful Development Plan Entail
Overall, residents menBoned four main areas of concern when considering the recent development in Lehi and the future of the
city. Infrastructure, Businesses and IncenBves, Planning and RecreaBon were at the top of mind for parBcipants. Generally
residents of Lehi feel that planning has been inadequate, and would like to see more transparency in the future.
RecreaHon is a priority in Lehi, families want to see opportuniBes not only for their children to

parBcipate in sports, but to have ample opportunity to engage in diverse acBviBes. Parks and other
recreaHonal faciliHes are high on residents minds.
Given the large number of business that have set roots in Lehi, residents are quite proud of the Big
Wins that Lehi has accomplished. Overall residents feel that this has brought diversity and high paying
jobs to Lehi.
Business
ParHcipants spoke posiHvely of the services they are oered by the City. From tradiBons like Round City Services
Up Week, to the Police and Fire Department, to Parks, RecreaHon and FaciliHes. Though many
residents would like to see some of these areas improve, generally they are happy with the CiBes Community
accomplishments so far.
Lehi is seen to be a Hght knit community by many parHcipants, staHng City Council works well
together, and Our Family feels at home here. ParBcipants would also like to see greater
transparency and opportunity to serve in the community and make important decisions regarding their
future.

How Could The Current Plan Be Improved
Infrastructure, Planning, RecreaBon and Community ParBcipaBon are all areas that maHer to Lehi residents. ParBcipants express
concern regarding the state of infrastructure in Lehi and its ability to adequately support the needs of the City today and
parBcularly as it conBnues to grow in the future. Residents also express interest in the current plan moving forward.
Residents feel that planning has not been adequate, nor has the city educated the public regarding RecreaBon
plans to address concerns that face Lehi city in the coming years. ParBcipants feel that they would
benet from understanding the current plan and what is being done to stay current with the rapidly
changing needs of the City. Community

In terms of recreaBon, residents would like to see addiHonal parks to accommodate all. From Baseball
and Soccer elds, to tennis courts, play grounds, walking paths and pavilions. Lehi residents value
recreaHonal acHviHes and would like to see a greater emphasis here.
Community involvement is high on the priority list for parBcipants, staBng that given the opportunity,
they would like to serve in the community and lend a helping hand to ensure the success of programs
and iniBaBves in Lehis best interest.
Overgrowth is a main concern for many parHcipants, concerns of quality of life include infrastructure as it

decreasing as Lehi conBnues to grow. CiHzens would like to know how the City plans to keep its heritage

embrace the idea of new horizons, they want to ensure that tradiBons are maintained. There is also a

High Density housing is a sensiHve topic among parHcipants, generally they would like to see this type of
building stop and see a minimum lot size to build in Lehi.
There are a number of parBcipants expressing concerns regarding Mink Farms in Lehi. Those proponents
for Mink Farms and those against them. UlBmately it comes down to managing y populaBons and waste
aliated stench. Lehi City will need to work for the benet of both parHes.
The conict between old and new Lehi Too much growth. I realize

How Can Threats To Our Quality Of Life Be Averted
ParBcipants feel there are a few ways that the threats to the quality of life in Lehi can be averted. Proper and adequate planning
is at the top of the list. Residents express that Lehi City needs to develop and distribute a master plan and sBck to it. They would
also like to see beHer management of growth and city ocials puong the community rst.
Along with planning is the necessity to manage growth in the City. Lehi ocials will need to take into
account the impact of Businesses and housing upon current infrastructure. Residents would like to Community First

What Are The Threats To Further Development In Lehi City
In line with overall ndings, parBcipants feel that the biggest challenges that Lehi faces are items of Infrastructure improvements.

opportuniBes. All in all, they want to be involved and informed as the city moves forward.
Residents are also concerned with Water and Parks. SuggesBng Lehi look at Infrastructure
