Imsurprisedthatstatementwaseverreleasedbythe
WhiteEstate!ButitcoincideswithEllenWhites
statementthatEzekiel9willbeliterallyfulfilled
again.ItwaslastfulfilledinA.D.70,atthe
destructionofJerusalem.Thatistheonlytimethe
destructionofJerusaleminvolvedthesealingofGods
people,asmentionedinEzekiel9.SDAleadersand
laityhavemisplacedEzekiel9,sayingitwasfulfilled
inthethreeCAPTIVITIESunderNebuchadnezzar,
butthatispurefabrication,becausecaptivity
permittedbyGodinanefforttoreformHispeople,is
notthesameasdestructionofmen,maidensandlittle
children.TherewasnosealingofGodspeopleuntil
thecloseofthe70weekprophecyofDaniel9:24was
complete.Thisoccurredcommensuratelywiththe
stoningofStepheninA.D.34.Untilthattime,there

Yet,SDAministers,theirwivesandeventheSDA
BibleCommentary,noless,hastriedtoportraythe
ridiculousdeceptionthatEzekiel9wasfulfilledunder
NebuchadnezzarsinvasionsofIsrael,whichindeed
involvedsomekillinganddestructionbecausethe
JewsdisobeyedGodbyresistingNebuchadnezzars
advances.ButbecauseofthesealingfactorofEzekiel
9,whichwasimpossibleuntilA.D.34,andcompleted
the70weeksprobationforIsrael,therecouldnothave
beenanysealingasinvolvedinEzekiel9,beforeA.D.

Everyweekwereceivelettersandphonecallsfrom
sincere,faithfulSeventhdayAdventistswhoare
greatlydisturbedbecauseoftherapidgrowthof
apostasywithinGodstruechurch.Theseindividuals
areconcernedaboutdramabeingportrayedfromthe
sacredpulpitduringtheworshipserviceandpromoted
asanAdventisttheaterpresentation.Theyare
troubledaboutthedeplorablesocalledChristianrock
musicwiththedevilishbeatandnoiseofdrums,the
clappingofhandsasdisplayedinentertainment
duringtheelevenoclockservice,andwhenprayeris
ascendingsomeofourmembersarefollowingthe
Pentecostalcustomofextendingthehandsandarms
upwardwhichisthefirststepinspeakinginan
unknowntongue.

Tomakemattersworse,somepastorsareopenly
questioningtheSpiritofProphecy,andpreaching
NewTheologytogetherwithcompromisingheavens
standards.

Ifanymembersquestionstheseproceduressuch
pastorsarestatingfromthepulpit,Ifyoudontlike
it,leaveus.Gosomeplaceelse.Excitementand
entertainmentarebecomingapartofthemajorityof
worshipservices.Soarewetobesurprisedthat,asa
resultofsuchactivities,wehearofSeventhday
Adventistchurchesthathaveseparatedfromthe
sisterhoodofchurchesandnolongerworshiponthe
Sabbathdaywithus,buttheynowconducttheir
serviceonSunday?SuchachurchistheDamascus
RoadChurchinMarylandachurchofover500
members.Isitanywonderthenthataremnantwithin
ourchurcharebeginningtowonderifGodschurch
willsurvive?

Butbeforeweanswerthisproblemletuspray.Oh,
lovingFather,manyarecryingaloudbecauseofthe
abominationsthatarecreepingintoThychurch.
Please,giveusananswerfrominspirationthatwill
assureThyremnantinthiscrisisthatThychurchwill
betriumphant.Please,giveuswisdomtocomprehend

amabletoexplain.Itisofgreatinteresttous,andwe
shouldconsiderit,andletithavedueweightuponour
minds.WefindbyperusingGod'ssacredWordof
inspirationthatwhenthepromisedMessiah,theSon
ofGod,cameintotheworldHisownpeople,evenHis
ownnationtheJewswouldnotanddidnotreceive
Him.AswearetoldinthefirstchapterofSt.John,
"HecameuntoHisown,andHisownreceivedHim
not"(John1:11).{1SAT4.2}

Theprovisionwasmade,buttheywouldnot
receiveit.TheFatherHimselfprovidedaransom,
evenasacrifice.HisowndearSonsubmittedHimself
toHisFather'srequirements,cameintothissinful
world,becameamanofsorrowandacquaintedwith
grief.Hewentaboutdoinggood,speakingintonesof
tenderness,sayinginthedeepestandmostferventand
sweetestaccentseveruttered,"ComeuntoMe,allye
thatlaborandareheavyladen,andIwillgiveyou
rest.TakeMyyokeuponyou,andlearnofMeforI
ammeekandlowlyinheart"andHeassuresuswe

themwhicharebidden,Behold,Ihavepreparedmy
dinner:myoxenandmyfatlingsarekilled,andall

ThegreatKingHimselfhathmadeamarriagefor
HisSon.HehathsentforthHisservantsformany
hundredsofyears,saying,"Come,forallthingsare
ready."Buthowlittledothey[Hispeople]heedthe
invitation!Theymakelightofitandgotheirwaysto
theirworldlypursuitsandworldlypleasures,thesame
astheyhavedoneforcenturies.ButtheKingsendeth
forthHisarmiesanddestroysthosemurdersandburns
uptheircity,andwearetoldintheninthchapterof
Daniel,the26thverse,that"thepeopleofthePrince
thatshallcomeshalldestroythecity...andtheend
thereofshallbewithaflood."{1SAT5.1}

"Thensaithhetohisservants,Theweddingis
ready,buttheywhichwerebiddenwerenotworthy.
Goyethereforeintothehighways,andasmanyasye
shallfind,bidtothemarriage."{1SAT5.2}

Inthe14thchapterofLuke,verse16,wefindthat
therewasmadeagreatsupperandmanywerebidden.
Servantsweresentforthtosaytothosethatwere
bidden,"Comeforallthingsarenowready"[verse
17].Buttheymadeexcuses.{1SAT5.3}

TheKingofthekingdomhathmadeamarriage
supperforHisSon.HehathsentforthHisservantsto
saytothosewhicharebidden,"Cometothe
marriage."TheLordissendingHisservants,saying
untoallwhowillhear,"Come,makereadyforthe
greatmarriagesupperoftheLambHeissoon
comingtoreceiveallthefaithfultothemansions
preparedbyHim,topartakeofthefeastwhichHe
hathprepared."Heissending,andhathbeensending
HisservantsforsomethirtyyearspasttosayuntoHis
people,"Come,makeready,putonyourwedding
garmentsclotheyourselveswithmeekness,humility,
andtruth,andhaveyourselvescladinthe
righteousnessofChrist,thatyoumaybe

abletoappearbeforeHim,andenterintotheguest
chamberwiththosewhoshallsitwithMeatthe

Allmustbeclothedwiththeweddinggarmentin
ordertobeaccepted,lestwebefoundspeechless.

Isitnotofthegreatestimportancethatwebe
foundhavingontherobeofrighteousness,thatwebe
readywhentheBridegroomcomethtoenterintothe
marriagesupper?Mayweheedtheinvitationgiven
andmakeourselvesreadythatwemayhave
admittanceintotheMaster'shouse,thatHesaynot
untousthatnonewhichwerebiddenshalltasteofHis
supper.Intheparable,thosewhowerebiddenheeded
notitsinvitation,butcontinuedexcusingthemselves,
feastinguponthepleasuresofthisworldasthe
massesdoatthepresenttime.{1SAT6.2}

TheservantsofGodareinvitingandentreating
themtocomeawayfromthealluringscenesofthis
vainandfleetingworld,tomakereadyforthe
marriagesupper,buttheywillnotcome.Wehear
themsaying,There'snodangertomorrowshallbeas
thisdayandmuchmoreabundantnoneedofbeing
disturbed.Wemustneedsattendtofarmsand
merchandiseandthethingsofthislife,lestwelose
worldlyinterests,andbecomepoorandsufferwant.
TheyforgetthatHewhocarethforthelittlesparrows
andclotheththeliliesofthefield,carethforthe
humble,trustingsoul,andwillguideanddirectall
thosewhoarereadytodoHiswill,andbestowupon
Hisdearchildrensuchthingsastheyneed.Toallwho
throughpatienceandperseveranceovercome,Hehath
promisedtogiveacrownofneverfadingglory,arobe
ofrighteousness,andanentranceintothebeautiful
cityofourGod.{1SAT6.3}

ThissameKingissendingforthHisservants
today.HeisinvitingHisguests,saying,"Come,forall
thingsarenowready."TheLordofthemarriage

issooncoming:behold,Heisatthedoor.Delaynotto
openthedoor,lestHeturnawayfromreceivingyou
andyouenternotintothemarriagefeast.Openthe
doorandreceivetheMaster,thatyoumayenterinto
themansionsofeverlastingrestandneverfading
glorypreparedforallthosethatloveHim.Whowill
makereadyforthecomingofHimwhohathsaid,
"Behold,IcomequicklyandMyrewardiswithMe,
togivetoeverymanaccordingashisworkshallbe"

Ifweneglectourspiritualinterests,neglecttooffer
upspiritualsacrificesacceptableuntoGod,whichis
ourreasonableduty,webecomeentangledwiththe
triflingcaresofthislife.Ifweevenonceomitour
dailydutyofcallinguponGodforHisdivineaid,His
careandprotection,weloseoneday'senjoyment.We
havenotthesweet,meltinginfluenceofGod'sHoly
Spiritattendingusthroughtheday,butwefeelcast
downandeasilydiscouraged.Theenemyofsoulsis
readytotakeadvantage[ofus]andoftendoes,
bringingusintocaptivityandsin.{1SAT7.1}

Wemaysometimesbecumberedaboutmuch
serving,likeMarthabuthowmuchmore
commendablewastheactofMary,whosatand
listenedtotheteachingsofJesus.Hesays,"Martha,
thouartcarefulandtroubledaboutmanythings:but..
..Maryhathchosenthatgoodpart,whichshallnotbe
takenawayfromher"(Luke10:41,42).{1SAT7.2}

Howmanytimesthethingsofthisvain,deceitful
worldcomebetweenusandoureternalinterests!
Temporalthingsspringupwithinourheartsand
chokethosethingswhicharespiritual.Wepermitthe
enemyofrighteousnesstopersuadeusthatweshould
attendtothethingsofthislife.Wenowandthen
neglectgreaterdutieslestwesufferwant.Ifwe
faithfullyentreatGodto

giveusstrengthandtoperformtemporalduties,and
atthesametimetogiveusgraceandwisdomto
overcomeevilifwehaveourhopescenteredabove
andourconversationinheaven,whencewelookfor
theSonofmanwhohasbiddentothemarriageall
whowillcome:whohasgoneuponhightoprepare
mansionsforallthosewholoveandkeepHissayings,
andhastoldusHeiscomingtoreceiveus,wemay
enterintotheweddingfeastwithHim,thatwhereHe
istherewemaybealso.Ifweturnawayfromthose
callsandinvitations,whatwillbetheconsequence?

46thverse,wefindthatifweputGod'sworkfromus,
andjudgeourselvesunworthyofeverlastinglife,we
havenoreasontoexpectanentranceintothe
kingdom.The24thverseofthe14thchapterofLuke
informsusthat"noneofthosemenwhichwere
biddenshalltasteofmysupper."{1SAT8.1}

ThegreateternalFatherhaspreparedamarriage
feastforHisSon.WillwegiveheedtoHisservants
whohavebeenandarebeingsentforthtoproclaim
untousthesolemninvitation?Orshallwemakelight
ofit?Oh,whyrefusetomakereadyforthemarriage
oftheSonofGod?Thereisroomforallwhowill
accepttheinvitation.Nonecansay[that]thosethings
werenotdulyrepresented.Remember,whenthegood
manreturns,thosewhoarereadywillgointothe
feastandthedoorwillbeshut,andtherewillbeno
furtherentrance,forwereadthatwhen"themasterof
thehouseisrisenup,andhathshuttothedoor"(Luke
13:25),thenthosewhowouldfindadmittancewill
heartheanswer,"Iknowyounot...departfrom

Mayweheedwellthesolemnwarningandmake
readytoenterintothewedding,thatHishousemay
befilled.God'sWordinformsus,"Blessedarethey
thatdoHiscommandments,thattheymayhaveright
tothetreeoflife,andmayenterinthroughthegates
