TopAccessDocMon support device and job monitoring the following TOSHIBA
Controllers.

TopAccessDocMon also can monitor the device status of the devices that support MIB-
II,Host Resource MIB and Priner MIB.

[Installation]

Issues
======

1. When any previous version of TopAccessDocMon, GL-DocMon, or SC-DocMon has been


installed, uninstall it and install the latest version of TopAccessDocMon.

2. When you want to restore TopAccessDocMon in Windows-XP without SP2, uninstall


and then reinstall TopAccessDocMon using the installer, without using a "Repair"
setup.

[Troubleshooting]

Issues
======

1. Not discover any device(s)

[Problem Description]
TopAccessDocMon Local Discovery and Network Discovery may not search some device(s)
(E.g. Devices(s) with a different segments)

[Corrective Action]
Click the "Manual Selection" button on the Discovery dialog, and enter Printer Name
and the IP/IPX Address.

2. When a message "No Default Printer" displays.

[Problem Description]
When the printer driver is not installed and TopAccessDocMon cannot obtain the
correct port value, the message, "No Default Printer" displays.

[Corrective Action]
Check your printer driver and printer that are used normally. Or restart
TopAccessDocMon.

3. Event Notification

[Problem Description]
When Novell client and IPX/SPX protocol are installed on your PC and NDS/NDPS is
used, an event notification may not be displayed.

[Corrective Action]
Check a list which shows the print status and device status in the TopAccessDocMon
window.

[Problem Description]
You can set events on the Notification tab in the TopAccessDocMon Configuration
menu.

[Corrective Action]
Even if you configure events, the set value will not be affected. When you reboot
TopAccessDocMon, the set value will be affected.

4. Restrictions on running TopAccessDocMon

[Problem Description]
When TopAccessDocMon is installed on a 64-bit operating system, the TopAccessDocMon
window cannot be started from the Printers and Faxes folder.

[Corrective Action]
Start the TopAccessDocMon window using the TopAccessDocMon icon.

[Problem Description]
When you rename the driver installed using Web Services Print, and select the
driver to run TopAccessDocMon, "The address of your printer could not be located.
Would you like to search for it?" appears in the message dialog box.

[Corrective Action]
Change the name of the driver to the default again, or select [OK] in the message
dialog box, run Local Discovery and select a printer to monitor.

5.Local Discovery from a PC with Firewall applied

[Problem Description]
When local discovery of a printer is being performed from client software,
communication may be blocked by Firewall and in this case the alert message may
appear. Even if you select "Allow" in the message dialog box, printers on the
network still may not be displayed.

[Corrective Action]
If you are using Firewall, ask the network administrator about this because it may
be blocking network communication required for the local discovery.
Register programs or directories required for the local discovery to "Exceptions"
of the Firewall setting referring to the folders below where those programs are
installed.
