importance of correctly using ICTs such as laptops and Ipads to complete set tasks. As a
class students will identify why it is essential to ensure that they use ICTs safely and
responsibly. After this discussion has been complete I will ensure that the students are
reminded of the consequences that can occur from incorrect usage.
Strategies to avoid incorrect usage include: avid movement around the classroom,
discussions with students to ensure that they are on task, reiteration of co nsequences,
removal of devices when necessary, device screens closed when board work is in progress to
obtain full attention from students.

Activity 1 Educator will choose to form students into their pairs or in groups to begin
discussions based on their assessment task.

Students are to quietly begin working through the questions that they have formed in previous
lessons. They are to be using computers and other resources.

Students are to be given warnings about incorrect use of resources.

During the lesson I will actively move around the classroom and address student behaviours
when necessary. Phones will be removed when required and kept on the teachers desk until the
end of the lesson.

Throughout the lesson I will endeavour to actively move to each group and discuss their
assessment task ideas and where they are up to in their research. This specific component will
give me the opportunity to identify where misconceptions may lie and how to address these
issues when necessary.

Students should discuss quietly amongst themselves, seeking feedback from teacher when
necessary.

This specific lesson outline will continue for a number of lessons whilst the students complete
their research aspect of the assessment task.
