A. COURSE DESCRIPTION

PMI (Project Management Institute) is the worlds leading not-for-profit membership


association for the project management profession, with more than 600,000
members and credential holders in more than 185 countries. Our worldwide
advocacy for project management is supported by our globally-recognized standards
and credentials, our extensive research program, and our professional development
opportunities.

Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is the most important industry-


recognized certification for project managers sponsored by PMI and is based upon
the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide. Globally recognized
and demanded, the PMP demonstrates that you have the experience, education and
competency to successfully lead and direct projects.

These five days course takes participants through the phases of a project using the
PMI process groups and integration framework. It is suitable for anyone who requires
a working knowledge of the PMIs approach to Project Management. This highly
interactive course will provide individuals with coaching and practice questions in
order to prepare themselves for the specific requirements of the PMP Exam or just to
gaining the knowledges and skills of Project Management processes and
terminology.

B. COURSE AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES

To establish how all project activities are interrelated


To know when and how to use recognized tools and techniques on projects
To Understand specific PMI definitions, acronyms, and terminology based on
PMBOK Guide Fifth Edition
To feel comfortable with the examination format and typical question styles
To have prepared a study plan for passing the PMP exam
To satisfy the 35 hours formal Project Management training requirement for
future professional certification with the PMI

C. DURATION

5 (five) full days program 35 Hours

D. PRE-REQUISITES

The participants must have a basic knowledge of Project Management concepts.


E. TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is designed for participants who have a working knowledge of Project
Management and who are working in a project environment. It has been developed
to address the needs of Project Managers.

To apply for the PMP certification, you need to have either:

a. A four-year degree (bachelors or the global equivalent) and at least three years
of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing
projects and 35 hours of project management education.
b. A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years
of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing
projects and 35 hours of project management education.

Before taking PMP Examination, you need to meet PMP Eligibility Requirement
includes both of Project Management Experience and Education, and follow the PMI
certification process until you are eligible for sitting on the PMP Exam.
