FIRST READING:
ACTS 2:1-11
Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven
staying in Jerusalem.
At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd,
but they were confused
because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
They were astounded, and in amazement they asked,
"Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans?
Then how does each of us hear them in his native language?
We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites,
inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,
Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia,
Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene,
as well as travelers from Rome,
both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs,
yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues
of the mighty acts of God."
RESPONSORIAL PSALM:
Psalm 104: 1, 24, 29-30,31,34
Psalm for the Holy Spirit
R:
Lord, send out Your Spirit and renew the face of the
earth.
1. Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are great indeed!
How manifold are you works, O Lord!
The earth is full of your creatures. R:
2. May the glory of the Lord endure forever,
May the Lord be glad in his works!
Pleasing to Him be my theme,
I will be glad in the Lord. R:
3. If you take away their breath, they perish
And return to their dust.
When you send forth your spirit they created,
And you renew the face of the earth. R:

accepted, He took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread
and gave it to his disciples and said:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND EAT IT,
THIS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again he gave you
thanks and praise, give the cup to his disciples, and said:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND DRINK FROMK IT.

MAY BE FORGIVEN.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

COMMUNION RITE
Priest: At the Saviors command and formed by divine teaching, we dare
to say:
All : Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom
come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
Priest : Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace
in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free
from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and
the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
All : For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever.
SIGN OF PEACE

I LEAVE YOU PEACE, MY PEACE I GIVE YOU. LOOK NOT ON
OUR SINS, BUT ON THE FAITH OF YOUR CHURCH, AND
GRANT US PEACE AND UNITY OF YOUR KINGDOM WHERE
YOU LIVE FOREVER AND EVER.
All : Amen.
The Priest, turned towards the people, extending and then joining his hands, adds:
Priest : The peace of the Lord be with you always.
All : And with your spirit.
LAMB OF GOD
Then he takes the host, breaks it over the paten, and places a small piece in the chalice, saying quietly:
Priest : May this mingling of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
bring eternal life to us who receive it.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.
The Priest genuflects, takes the host and, holding it slightly raised above the paten or above the chalice, while facing
the people, says aloud:
Priest : Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of
the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
And together with the people he adds once:
All : Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only
say the word
and my soul shall be healed.
Communion
Then, standing at the altar or at the chair and facing the people, with hands joined, the Priest says:
All pray in silence with the Priest for a while, unless silence has just been observed.
Then the Priest, with hands extended, says the Prayer after Communion, at the end of which the people acclaim:
Priest : Let us pray.
ALL POWERFUL GOD, BY THIS BREAD OF LIFE, YOU FREE YOUR
PEOPLE FROM THE POWER OF SIN AND IN YOUR LOVE RENEW
THEIR STRENGHT. HELP US GROW CONSTANTLY IN THE HOME OF
ETERNAL GLORY. GRANT THIS THROUGH CHRIST OUR LORD.
