onlyheightenedtheirsenseofforeboding.Suchpeculiarbehaviorwastoosuspiciousand,fearinga
clevertrap,SumaIturnedhisarmybackandretreated.AfterthearmyleftKongMingandhisremaining
troopsdepartedintheoppositedirectionandmadetheirwaysafelybacktotheircapital.

anoldBuddhistpriestarrivedatcourtandclaimedtobetheoldemperorHweiTi.Itturnedouttheman
wasanimposterbutarumorbeganthatHweiTiwasstillalive.Toquelltherumorsandsettletheissue,
anofficialinvestigationwasmadewhichdiscoveredthatHweiTiwasindeedstillalivelivingasa
Buddhistpriest.Theoldemperorwasinvitedbacktothecapitalwithgreatceremonyandhelivedout
hislastdaysasaguestinthepalace.However,hewaskeptunderawatchfuleye.
