Jagteshwari Steels was founded two decades ago by Late Sh. Jaswant Singh Bhatia
in jalandhar with an aim to supply quality malleable cast iron pipe fittings to the
users across India. Right from the stage of its incorporation, Jagteshwari Steels
continue to maintain high quality of its products and as a result JTR brand pipe
fittings are accepted not only in India but also in nearby countries.
In the beginning, the fittings up to sizes 100mm were introduced. However looking
into the requirements of the market, later on fittings with sizes 125mm to 200mm
were added. Today, Jagteshwari Steels has the technical capability to manufacture
vast range and variety of pipe fittings. As per practice, in the beginning era, the
malleable cast iron fittings were manufactured with rotary furnace technology.
However, as per the market expectations, for better control over physical and
chemical properties of the products, environment friendly induction furnace
technology was adopted.
Dimensions, Threading, Alignment & Finish are the essential features for pipe
fittings. Our Company has the latest machinery and trained workers to
achieve these in process features for the product. Above all, the service factor
can never be ignored. We maintain excellent relations with our customers and
always maintain sufficient stocks for various sizes and varieties of the fittings
to extend a time bond service and supply to the customers.

ELBOW
An elbow is a pipe fitting installed between two lengths of pipe or tubing to allow a change of
direction, usually a 90 or 45 angle. A 90 degree elbow is also referred as 90 bend .It is a
fitting which is bent in such a way to produce 90 degree change in the direction of flow in the
pipe. It used to change the direction in piping and is also sometimes called a quarter bend.
Salient features:
A reducer allows for a change in pipe size to meet hydraulic flow requirements of the system,
or to adapt to existing piping of a different size. An elbow is a pipe fitting installed between
two lengths of pipe or tubing to allow a change of direction, usually a 90 or 45 angle. When
the two ends differ in size, the fitting is called a reducing elbow or reducer elbow.
Salient feature:
A tee is the most common pipe fitting. It is available with all female thread sockets, all
solvent weld sockets, or with opposed solvent weld sockets and a side outlet with female
threads. It is used to either combine or split a fluid flow. It is a type of pipe fitting which is T-
shaped having two outlets, at 90 to the connection to the main line. It is a short piece of pipe
with a lateral outlet. A tee is used for connecting pipes of different diameters or for changing
the direction of pipe runs. They are extensively used in pipeline networks to transport two-
phase fluid mixtures.
Salient features:
A reducer allows for a change in pipe size to meet hydraulic flow requirements of the
system, or to adapt to existing piping of a different size. When the branch size is less than that
of header size, reduced tee will be used .Reducers are usually concentric but eccentric reducers
are used when required to maintain the same top- or bottom-of-pipe level. A tee is used for
connecting pipes of different diameters or for changing the direction of pipe runs.
Salient features:
A Socket connects two pipes to each other. If the size of the pipe is the same, the fitting may be
Equal socket.

A nipple is defined as being a short stub of pipe which has external male pipe threads at each
end, for connecting two other fittings. Nipples are commonly used for plumbing and hoses, and
second as valves for funnels and pipes.
Salient features:
Cross fittings are also called 4-way fittings. If a branch line passes completely through a tee,
the fitting becomes a cross. A cross has one inlet and three outlets, or vice versa. Cross fittings
can generate a huge amount of stress on pipe as temperature changes, because they are at the
centre of four connection points. A tee is more steady than a cross, as a tee behaves like a
three-legged stool, while a cross behaves like a four-legged stool.
Salient features:
3 way elbow is the way to connect the 3 pipes along with it.
