WHAT IS DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION?

STUDENT CENTERED LEARNING


Differentiated instruction brings the students to the forefront of
learning. The teacher is there to support, structure, and
collaborate with students throughout the process. Through
blending class, small group and individualized instruction,
students are provided with multiple avenues to information and
developing understanding. This form of instruction challenges
the students to be active and engaged participants, who take on
MS. WITTLER leadership roles. It is a community of learning in which everyone
ART ROOM feels welcomed and contributes to everyone else feeling
welcomed.
The goal for each student is maximum growth, from

My name is Emily Wittler. I Positive and supportive work environment

Kansas. I will be implementing
differentiated instruction methods
in the art classroom - setting high
expectations, in order to keep
students challenged with content
that allows for personal
connections, teaches big ideas,
and connects to everyday life. I
will work daily to instill a sense of
pride and accomplishment within
the students who enter my art
classroom.
