You must enter all syllabus codes and options codes you wish to register for this examination session in order to prevent any delays
in the processing. It is candidate’s responsibility to write the correct syllabus title and syllabus code otherwise British Council will not
be responsible if candidate registers for wrong subject. The examinations entry details on pages 4–5 will guide you regarding
available syllabus/option codes and applicable fees.

which I have entered by the centre/school.
• I also understand that the British Council is not responsible for resolving any clash papers between/of two different
boards.
• I understand my obligation to report for any morning or afternoon examination paper at least one hour before the
scheduled examination start time as is required by British Council administrative arrangements.
By submitting this application for examination entries I agree to comply in full with all of the UK awarding body
regulations for the above IGCSE examination(s) and with all of the arrangements made by the British Council being
the Overseas Authority on behalf of the UK examining board. I understand that any failure on my part to comply with
the relevant examination regulations will be treated as malpractice and could potentially lead to my disqualification
from the examination(s) in question.

Information sheet for IGCSE candidates
Information
• It is the responsibility of a candidate to ensure that accurate and complete entry data is submitted to the British Council. All
entry amendments must be submitted to us by the deadline for receiving amendments to avoid jeopardising a candidate.
• All entries should reach us by 16 August 2010. Entries received after this date will be subject to late entry penalty fees. The
British Council will accept late entries and changes to entry until 23 September 2010. After this point no further entries or
changes to entry will be accepted.
• CIE penalty fees for late submissions (entry for new subjects or change of syllabus/option) are charged per candidate per
syllabus in addition to the normal syllabus fee after 16 August 2010.
• Please attach the following documents along with your registration form:
− Three recent coloured passport size photographs, the photographs must be identical and have been taken
within the last three months. This is important so that our staff is easily able to verify your identity without any
undue inconvenience for you
− a clear photocopy of valid CNIC or Passport (mandatory)
− a stamped bank deposit slip
• ID Document
All private candidates are required to attach a copy of their valid Passport or Computerised National ID Card. No other form of
identification will be accepted.
In case, these documents are not submitted then the British Council reserves the right of not registering candidate for
October/November 2010 session.
• Special Arrangements
We request candidates who have any special requirements to inform British Council by 10 August 2010, accompanied by a
medical report/evidence.
• You may download and print this form from the British Council website, www.britishcouncil.org.pk. Faxed or email entries
cannot be accepted as the forms must be signed and dated by the candidate. Please write clearly and ensure that you
complete all the information on both pages.
In case you wish to register for more subjects after you have sent one form, please send another form with a note that is your
second form for the same session.

Submission of registration documents
In order to facilitate candidates registering for IGCSE and GCE examinations, we have reached an agreement with Standard
Chartered Bank (SCB) whereby the bank collects registration forms and fees and later delivers these documents to respective
British Council office. This SCB drop-box mailing service is not offered to candidates registering with an outstation British Council
office e.g. candidates residing in Multan cannot use this drop box mailing service if they want to register for exams to take place in
Lahore. However, they can use this service for examinations scheduled in Multan.
British Council - Bank Deposit Slip should be used for this purpose which is available at below mentioned banks. Please tick ‘CIE
Oct/Nov exams fee’ on the bank deposit slip before making a payment.
The Standard Chartered designated branches operate from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday (Saturday is subject to State
Bank of Pakistan’s notification) with a two hours Juma prayers break on Friday only.

Candidates must deposit all required documents (as detailed on page 3) at the SCB drop-box where available. If a candidate
resides in a city which does not have a designated Standard Chartered Bank, then the examinations fee must be made through a
bank draft. The bank draft must be drawn in favour of the British Council office of the city where the candidate wishes to sit for an
exam. A completed registration form must be sent by courier or registered mail to the appropriate British Council office. Candidates
must retain a photocopy of registration form and stamped bank deposit slip along with the original courier/registered-mail dispatch
slip for personal record. In case if registration documents are not delivered to the British Council, candidates would resolve the
issue directly with the respective SCB branch/courier/post office (as for any other postal/courier services), based on their proof of
posting. The British Council have no liability for items lost in transit and consequently missed deadlines for sending registration
forms.
Acknowledgements
The British Council would forward a ‘provisional Statement of Entry’ to candidates’ e-mail addresses in the form of an e-
acknowledgement within seven working days of receipt of complete registration form. Details on statement of entry should be
checked and respective British Council office must be notified of discrepancies. Final statement of entry and exam venue details will
be sent by courier to the regular entry candidates at least three weeks prior to the start of examinations. Late entry candidates
would receive their statement of entry and venue details two weeks before the exams session begins.
In case you do not receive your statement of entry two weeks before the start of the examination session, please immediately get in
touch with your respective British Council Office.
It is the responsibility of a candidate to fill in the form accurately, the British Council will in no way be held responsible for any
omission or incorrect entries. It is stressed that candidates refer to the syllabus to ensure that they are registering for the correct
examinations. The statement of entry, statement of results and certificate would be sent by courier to the candidate's residential
address given on this form. Please notify the relevant British Council office if there is a change in the residential address by
forwarding a hand-written application quoting your full details along with a copy of submitted ID document. There are five British
Council Examinations Services offices in Pakistan: Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Multan.
